Just what we imagined for a northwoods cabin. location near town but nicely secluded - there are neighbors but the trees and bushes keep this private. nice deck and view of the lake. Huge living room looking out to the lake. we would gladly rent again, thank you!

While the house no doubt needs some updates it was great to be in what was very similar to my Grandmother's house again. It is a cottage. Not perfect but full of all the right stuff.

Our seven person stay was excellent for three nights! The place is large and comfortable and was an exceptional home when built - very unique lay out. All appliances worked well for the four meals we prepared, the beds were comfortable, it was hot ourside so we opened windows to create a breeze and that worked well, the bathrooms were functional, etc.
No real complaints - the place is rustic but we knew that. We really enjoyed the large deck and invited the 'sister' family over for deck entertainment and a breakfast.
THANKS MUCH!!!
We reserved this location for the price and the roominess of the spot. We got the roominess that we desired, but the home is dated. There is a mishmash of pots, pans, silverware, dishes, plates, and bowls. The stove is VERY dated. It uses push buttons on the top of the stove to run the burners which either fire HOT or warm. Very few utensils to use for cooking. The inside of the home was fairly clean, but the outside had cobwebs and other debris all over. There was organic material growing in the down spouts.
The home was very comfortable, especially the king size bed in the master room which was huge. The dock was in good shape, but there were many weeds by the dock which didn't allow for any swimming. We waded out to use our jet ski, but no one dared to try and swim through the weeds.
The grass needed to be mowed, but it wasn't overgrown. The grill that was provided was probably the newest part of the rental. Overall, it was good for our group (teens and up). It might be harder with a younger family considering the lack of swimming right from the dock.
I suggest that the owners look to do some upgrades on the spot. This would be a much more sought after location if there was some money spent on the home to upgrade.
