  We were in Brainerd for a family wedding and the cabin was a great place for my family. The place was cute and the hosts very responsive.

  Light bulbs were burnt out, dishwasher was broke, fire alarm had no battery in it just hanging, outlet where microwave was plugged didn’t work, had to move it, fireplace was just for show, not usable

  Owner's response: "Hello Bradley, We're awfully sorry that your stay at our lake house in Brainerd was just 'okay', as we aim to have everyone have a fantastic stay on Rice Lake.
  
  - Regarding the burnt-out bulbs, I let my housekeeper know, and she was surprised to hear this. My housekeeper will check, and wishes she could have been told which bulbs were out, so she could have replaced them during your stay. She says she will check all the lights and lamps.
  - We're so sorry about this dishwasher mishap. We've been making upgrades to the property, and the floors are brand new as of the week of your stay. Apparently, the installer unplugged and uninstalled the dishwasher while doing the floors underneath, and didn't re-install it. I'm so disappointed this happened, as it was an unintended result of making a great improvement to the property.
  - My housekeeper hadn't noticed that the alarm was hanging down, we replace the batteries every year. I believe this could have been related to the floor construction.
  - We were unaware of any issues with the outlets, this is very odd, and I think it was also related to the floor installation. It seems that all the furniture and appliances were relocated for the construction, and I regret that they were not put back as would have been required for a perfectly comfortable stay.
  - We regret the home has not had a working fireplace since 1965. Due to this, we do not list the fireplace as one of the amenities. Safety is of utmost importance, and due to this, we regret not being able to offer the fireplace.
  We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests. We will continue to strive for the 5-star experiences we know we can deliver."

  Great location close to town yet remote and quite. It was exactly as described and we really enjoyed it!

  Very quiet neighborhood. Nice dock and lake access for wading and using the canoe. Good bedrooms and fully equipped kitchen for cooking all meals.
