Entire family- dog, too- enjoyed this lovely cabin. Super clean with everything we needed. The Boardman River was incredibly beautiful, clean, and serene. Kayaking was super easy with access both upstream and downstream. Everything we needed was included. Cabin is ~15 minutes away from downtown Traverse City. We mostly ate in Kingsley to avoid crowds and all restaurants had great food and service. We wouldn't have changed anything!

As soon as we arrived we were so excited about this property. A perfect flat lawn for playing soccer, frisbee, and passing the football. On the first day, we did it all, and played basketball. The river was calming, and a chilly dip was just right. Our dog enjoyed exploring when we took him for walks. We spent so much time outdoors! When we did come inside, the accommodation was cozy and comfortable. A well-equipped kitchen and private bedrooms. We look forward to returning soon.

River Haven was beautiful. The check-in process was super easy. When we arrived the house and property was perfect. There was never a time when my teenagers said they were bored they had so much to do. Kayaking, fishing, basketball hoop, campfire at night, plenty of room to toss baseball. Inside there was plenty of room for a family of six, we watched movies at night and had family game time. The only negative we really came across was the washer did not work very well (did not spin the water out). We really enjoyed and would come back again.Thank you!

Our family (3 kids 5,7, & 10) really enjoyed our stay at River Haven. Of note, the entire property was very well maintained. We chose this cabin for the private river frontage and location to nearby attractions such as traverse city and the sleeping bear sand dunes. It did not disappoint. The river was great. Very clean and well maintained river bank. Fast moving water and lots of wildlife including Mallards and Deer in the backyard.
The inside of the cabin was also well maintained and clean. Nothing fancy but it does the job. The kitchen has everything you would need.
Upgrades that we would like to see would include a better bed in the loft. I think that area would be the preferred bedroom in the cabin if provided with a better bed. Hot water tank runs out very quickly (we got 1.5 out of 3 kids washed up in time lol) but it's a cabin so somewhat expected.
Only true con of the property is the damn road being right there. When the cars finally stop and you can hear the water it's quite peaceful!
With a better bed in the loft this property would of got 5 stars from us, otherwise very nice little cabin.
Best part of the property is the backyard. W/ a great back deck, fire pit, and the awesome riverside screened gazebo it's hard to beat for the price. Cabins in this price range are rarely this well maintained.
