We had a great week! Loved the cute cottage, the spectacular views, and the quaintness of Stony Point. Kids played on the beach almost every day (great that it was shallow). Definitely will return!

From the owner: "We got to meet your parents and they were such delightful guests. They were so happy to get away to a cottage on the lake and relax. What a sweet gift to your parents!"

From the owner: "How wonderful your family had a great week. When the kids are happy on the beach Mom and Dad are happy too. Thank you so much for being our guest."
Loved everything about the cabin, how highly recommended.
From the owner: "We love to hear that. Thank you for being our guest!"
Perfect location. Quiet and calm lake living only a short drive from Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes, wineries, etc. The view from the deck (and the kitchen) is exceptional, the perfect start and conclusion to each day. We booked off a winter picture of the lake view-it's twice as amazing now.
The cottage is what we expected: quaint, functional, safe, some updates in kitchen and bathroom, washer & dryer on-site, cute bench seating in kitchen looks onto lake. It's definitely a "sleeps four", 2nd bedroom is tiny, but plenty of room for the two of us or a family.
The outside could use a little T.L.C. You're going to spend most of your time here on the deck enjoying the lake, but the furniture is a mishmash of chairs, a table, and a chaise lounge (that needs it's old cushion replaced) clearly just pulled out of the shed without any cleanup. Same for those by the water. A quick wipe down of the deck (and everything on it), pull a couple weeds/clip some branches, maybe relocate the grill closer to the deck (we didn't bother with it), and you have an incredible space.
That aside, we had a great time and the cottage and on our trip. You cannot beat the location and that view!
From the owner: "Thank you so much for staying with us and appreciate your comments. We do have a matching table and chair set with umbrella. The blue chairs are for moving around the property if desired. We do blow off the decks and furnture when inspected before arrival. With the ongoing drought and it being spring in Northern Michigan it is a challenge outdoors when the lack of rain, plus the trees and bugs don't behave. That said we will keep trying harder.."
