Torch lake is beautiful, the deck, bonfire area, and lake front were perfect- loved the two kayaks. The house under delivered. There was still trash in some cans, light switches that didn’t work, spider webs in the shower, and a general musty scent. This house also requires you to bring your own sheets, bedding, and towels- comforters and pillows were provided, but it didn’t seem that they were washed between renters. Coming from out of state this was not really acceptable- we needed to spend an extra $200 at a nearby Walmart on dish towels, hand towels, sheets, pillow covers, bath towels, etc. The kitchen was also severely under stocked compared to other VRBOs that we have stayed in - no salt, pepper, etc. there also was not extra trash bags, paper towel, or toilet paper that we could find- we needed to purchase additional. The house felt very tired and worn in- you could spin it as charm, definitely an authentic “cabin” experience. We only stayed in the main house (2bedrooms and a futon off the living room) but the bunkhouse wasn’t somewhere I would have had my family or kids stay (a bunk bed and queen bed). The total cost with cleaning fees just seemed too high for the condition of the house- however we did spend most of our time outside, on the lake, or in nearby cities. Coming from out of state I would rule this house out based on availability of linens and general supplies.

Awesome experience at torch lake. This is the end of the lake to be on and the house and dock are right in the middle of the action. We would definitely stay here again.

The bunk house smelled musty ,isolating from group . We all slept in the house, one on futon and a blow up bed. Could have used blankets. The view was amazing. Location wonderful. The house was very nice comfortable. Thank you ,it was lovely.

Can't beat a summer weekend on torch lake! The shingle shack had everything you need and was exactly as described in the listing. Erik made it a smooth process and I would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway

The cabin provided great views of the lake with a very nice large deck. Driveway states it fits five cars but we barely got our two cars to fit. Great location to many dining options.
