  • Wonderful view, well-stocked, great stay!

    5/5

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. It's small but fit us well. I was a little concerned with the fact that it had with no reviews, but the owners are new to this and we had a great time. It was well-stocked with almost everything we needed. The view from the back patio and the large sliding doors in the living room was exceptional. Communication with the owners was very good.

The house included everything in the kitchen that was needed, as well as an outside grill, small firepit, and a starter supply of paper products and toiletries. The table and couch on the back patio were wonderful to sit in and enjoy watching the river go by.

We kayaked from Hersey to the cabin (4 hrs), the river was a little low, but we still enjoyed our time with family. We did bring our own kayaks, but there are two in the garage available for guests if needed. The entrance/exit to the river is pretty rocky and difficult to navigate, but once you get to the stairs on the hill it becomes easier. We also used tubes to float from the house to Paris Park (about 1-1/2 hrs) and enjoyed just sitting in the river in our beach chairs.

The backyard is small and does have a pretty steep drop to the river, so I would caution anyone with small children to be careful with this one. However, for adults and/or older kids this is a perfect spot on the river!
