4/5 We had a very nice and relaxing stay. I really appreciated the video that was sent to help us get to the property, it was so helpful. The house itself was cozy and clean, and the property was lovely and private, tucked back into the woods with a cute fire pit area! The mosquitoes were insane but we came prepared lol Overall, this was a great stay!

5/5 This was our second stay at Paradise Cottage (see our review from Oct, 2024). Our interactions with the host and crew were excellent before and during. We'll never stay anywhere else when coming to the area. As before, the place was perfect inside and out. And, as before, the location was perfect for our birding agenda - visiting Whitefish Point (added a nighttime owl banding event this time), Vermillion Point, and Preacher Road, plus added hikes at Clark Lake and McMahon Lake Preserve.

4/5 Check-in and communication were great and the cabin is spacious. However, the Fox Trail address is entirely fictional. To get to the cabin, you drive 1.5 miles on a sandy two-track void of any lights or signage. This was challenging for our minivan lol. Also, we couldn't get hot water to come out of the regular shower, so we had to use the laundry room shower, which is cramped, awkward, and badly designed. Overall, we had a positive experience, but it would have been nice to know about the "driveway" before we booked our stay.
