  Thank you for an incredibly wonderful outdoor experience. Your place is THE DESTINATION!  We went riding on your trails and then our big ride out on the state trails, we only had to unpack our ATV’s the one time right at the cabin, tons of parking, and could get to all the trails we needed straight from the cabin, how refreshing! We had a great time!! The cabin was so clean and very cozy and welcoming after a hard days ride. The kitchen had everything we needed. The property grounds were better than we had thought. We had everything we needed for an easy stay. Thanks to Susan for giving me info about our stay, she is a great communicator. We can’t wait to come back again!

  We needed to go off the grid, and we were able to do just that. Incredibly beautiful property, with lots to explore. Cabin was quiet, cute, comfy, and absolutely charming. We took our 3-year old shepherd up for his first vacation, and he had the time of his life. Cannot wait to be back! Thank you to the Metcalfe’s!

• Best vacation ever

  My husband and I are elderly and needed a restful vacation at a slow pace. We love walking and always have enjoyed camping out. This wonderful cabin was perfect for us as it allowed us to feel safe and still satisfy our need for a more moderate camping experience. The beauty of this resort is that vacationers of all ages can be as active or inactive as they choose. We chose a slower pace, walked more slowly for miles and relaxed when we felt the need. The cabin was very clean, attractive, and had all the comforts of home. Susan, our host, was delightful as her pleasant attitude made us feel quite welcomed as guests, including our well trained dog who had a great time as well. I highly recommend this cabin and beautiful grounds with a beautiful view and hope to return again.

• Needs attention

  Acreage outside of cabin location was nice but cabin area needs maintenance attention. Weeds and grass was knee high around cabin. The dog fenced area was thigh high grass. No fire pit area. Had to move the fire cylinders around to build fire. The camp chairs at property were dirty and not sturdy. There was a plastic picnic table that we were able to drag out of the weeds to sit on. Inside the cabin furnishings were nice but there were spider and cob webs on fans and on floors. There is also no tv…so be prepared to bring one. Reached out to homeowner regarding our disappointment of the cabin area and never received a response.

  -First and foremost, we want to apologize that your stay did not meet your expectations. We understand how important it is to have effective communication channels, and we regret any inconvenience caused by you texting the landline instead of the provided cell phone number. We always make it a priority to email guests with this information immediately before their arrival. We appreciate your understanding and the Evolve staff notified us of your later correspondence, but unfortunately, this was only after you had already departed. Please know that we are committed to promptly responding to emails, calls, and texts on our cell phones as soon as we receive them from our guests. We apologize for any miscommunication that occurred.
  -Regarding the yard and cabin maintenance, we were unaware that the service we typically rely on did not arrive in a timely manner. We understand the frustration caused by this delay. Due to the shortage of staff in the area, it has become challenging to secure tradespeople for necessary work. To address this issue proactively, we have decided to take matters into our own hands and perform a significant portion of the work ourselves instead of hiring external help. This will ensure better control over the maintenance schedule and alleviate any future delays.
  -We want to clarify that we have never advertised that the cabin includes a TV. We understand that many guests seek a vacation that offers an escape from the city and everyday stress, allowing them to reconnect with nature and tune out the outside world. For this reason, we do not provide TVs in the cabin. However, we do offer various forms of entertainment such as board games, playing cards, and a selection of books for our guests to enjoy.
  Once again, we sincerely apologize for any inconveniences you experienced during your stay. We hope that the generous measures we took to make things right helped to compensate for some of the inconveniences you encountered. We genuinely value your feedback, as it helps us improve our offerings and provide better experiences for our guests.
