Too much furniture. None of the furniture was comfortable to sleep on. Didn't know that stretch of river was fly only. Although, it was very peaceful and quiet.
From the owner: Thank you for your feedback. We're glad you found the location peaceful and quiet, as we strive to provide a serene environment for our guests. Here are our responses to the points you raised:
-We understand that furniture comfort is subjective. The furniture in our property is accurately reflected in the property description, and we have received positive feedback about it from many guests. The beds are newly purchased and chosen for comfort.
-Regarding the fishing, the area for all tackle fishing begins at Johnson Bridge, which is visible from the dock. The flies-only stretch is defined in the Michigan DNR fishing guide but is not marked along the river.
We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future for an even better stay.
The property is very nice, smells wonderful when you walk in and found everything to be clean. We had a wonderful time sitting by the fire each night and the river was peaceful and relaxing. I do want to let future renters know that there is no cell service for Verizon at this location, but you can drive a few miles down the road and get cell service.

Upgraded trailer right on the Little Manistee River. We liked sitting in the comfy chairs on the dock, watching the water flow by. There was no cell service in the House but plenty of bars just outside on the deck and dock. House got pretty hot, so we used the 2 AC window units, which were fine. Would have been nice to have AC unit in the bedrooms. I know it's up north, but hot days are becoming more frequent and will be more so in the future.
