We wanted a location that was between Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes, and this was perfect for us. House was exactly as listed, without issues. If you come across this house you should consider it for your stay, you won't be disappointed. * House was also toddler friendly

We had an awesome time spending time with the family at this location. Very clean, private and lots to do close by. Would definitely rent this location again.

Leading up to our stay we looked at the home over and over and got more and more excited. When we arrived we were able to get right into the home with keyless entry, and that was nice. Let me tell you how adorable it was that there were 3 treats waiting for our pups when we entered the home. It was fully loaded with towels, toilet paper, soap, dishes, pans, Everything!!! There were some large kennels incase we needed them and nice woods all around the home. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. There was a fire starting block in the pit, and doggy bags, and anything we needed to chat about Shelly was a text away to help us out. Now, the dock was about a 2 minute walk we rather enjoyed and just very easy to go out on the boat and fish and enjoy the lake! We all had a wonderful vacation! We would 120% consider returning for our next vacation. The Hughes Family!!!!

I need to preface this review by saying that I am probably overly picky about rentals and cleanliness. We have been coming up North for over 10 years and we usually rent someplace different each time as we like to explore different areas. Shelly was very responsive and texted us to be sure that we had made it in okay upon our arrival. The house is clean and as represented in the photos. I would have preferred to have the big spider web in the entrance taken down but hey.. you are in the woods.. right? The bed in the Master bedroom was comfy and the en-suite bathroom was also very clean - and - there are TONS of very nice towels. The shower was space was larger than most cottages and there was more than ample hot water. The sheets were nice and the air conditioning worked great which was a plus since each day it was over 90 degrees. There is a full size washer and dryer in the unit. The kitchen is very basic so if you are looking for a gourmet set up then this is not your house. It did have ample pots and pans, plastic plates and plastic glasses, an adequate supply of silverware and a nice supply of coffee and filters for the drip coffee maker. There is a dock but it is not on the property as stated in the description. As a side note, there is no shoreline or place to picnic or layout from a swim. it is just that.. a dock. The negative that I have to point out is that the lake access is ACROSS the street which is very busy and about 75 yards away. On the day we arrived there were boats parked at the dock so we were not sure if that was the right place but a call to Shelly confirmed that we had the right dock and she then made a few calls to have the other boats moved. Since the dock is not within site of the property you cannot keep an eye on your stuff and you do have to haul everything back and forth from the house. Overall a nice place to stay.
