  Family fun, very spacious, clean, had everything you could need. Fun fishing on the channel right in the back yard. The street was quit, with a cute dock at the end of the road where you could watch the sunset.

• Cozy lake house

  We brought our boat up and stayed in August. There was a nice dock to park our boat and make it easily get into the lake although parts are slightly shallow. The cabin had everything we needed and was very tidy and clean and we had great communication from the host.

• cozy lakeside retreat

  We try to take our boat to MI every summer and we love the Houghton and Higgins lakes area. The house was cozy, clean and had everything we needed. We were able to prepare and eat meals and the house even had washer/dishwasher detergent so we didn't need to worry about a thing. There was a slip to park our boat in the channel and the boys enjoyed fishing in the channel. Highly recommend staying here- we will hopefully be back!

• Fantastic Lake House on Channel with Dock for Family Fun!!

  We had a wonderful stay at this home while at Lake Houghton! The home was comfortable, well appointed, clean and family friendly. The sun room provided hours of family fun playing Foosball and relaxing in the Adirondack chairs. The bedrooms were all comfortable and provided a good nights rest for all of us. The kitchen had lots of space for storage of our food and pantry items but also offered a fully functional space with all of the plates, utensils, glasses, storage containers, etc that you could want for a week. We really appreciated the binder that the owners left with a ton of information about the home and surrounding area as well. We also enjoyed playing games that were at the home at the large coffee table in the living room and dining table off of the kitchen. Our children enjoyed fishing, catching frogs and turtles and generally playing in the channel which is in the back yard. We rented a pontoon boat for 3 days and docked it at the home on the channel which was convenient and our time on the lake was amazing! We also loved the fire pit with comfortable seating in the back yard. We not only enjoyed the fire but we cooked our dinner over it which was delicious. The gazebo was also a nice addition to the property where we relaxed but also stored outdoor items from the rain. It is abundantly clear that this property is well taken care of and loved. Bob, the owner, was very kind, helpful and responsive as we planned our trip. He is a wonderful contact and we would highly recommend him and his property for your stay! We were exceptionally pleased with our stay and are already planning our return to Lake Houghton to enjoy this property and the surrounding area again.
