  We loved this spacious house. All of the amenities were exactly like the listing. The property is well maintained. Property manager was available, prompt, and incredibly gracious. Lots of activities in and around the property. The memories we made will be with us for a lifetime.

• Beautiful lake getaway

  This is our second stay at the property. It was just as good as the first. The property is perfect for my sister and I to get our 2 families together for the week. Enough room for the 8 of us and a couple day visitors to enjoy inside and out.

• Don't stay here!

  This house is on well water that has not been treated in any way. The water is brown and rusty and has a horrible smell. The owner should at minimum warn their guests of this problem or provide accommodations like bottled water. Additionally, the upstairs was uninhabitable due to the heat. We later learned that there is an in-wall air unit, but it was not turned on, thus we did not realize it was there. The conditions were so poor, we did not stay there and evolve would not provide us with a refund. Horrible experience in every way possible!

  Hi Nicol, this homeowner works hard to provide an ideal stay for all guests, and they would like to clarify the following:
  - All houses within the lake community, including ours, have well water, which is typical for the area.
   - The water is treated with a water softener located in the mechanical room and is safe for drinking, cooking, and cleaning.
   - Any discoloration you noticed is due to the natural iron content in the water, not from untreated water.
   - The upstairs is equipped with a remote-controlled mini-split A/C unit for climate control.
   - Our property manager was on-site within an hour to assist but was unable to reach you as you had already left. They also attempted to reach you by phone the next day to help address your concerns.
  We take pride in providing a clean and comfortable environment for our guests, and we regret that your experience did not meet your expectations. However, we must address the statements in your review for the benefit of future guests.

  Our family really enjoyed our short stay. The house was clean and well-equipped. The lake was lovely and the neighborhood was charming.

• Perfect for families

  I've been coming to this area (Great Bear and Saddle Lakes) for over 30 years and own land on Saddle that we will eventually build on so I know the lay of the land very well. This is a really great rental cottage. Many of the properties in this area are over fifty years old and not well-mainted. The owners of this house did some nice updates to give the house a more modern feel. It has an incredible view of Silver Lake, and feels open and airy. There is just a lot of space relative to many of the places nearby. It has 4 true bedrooms and a huge loft area upstairs that could accommodate air mattresses for kids very easily. Great spot! We're renting again later this summer!
