  • A Very Happy New Year!

    5/5

Absolutely wonderful experience!! The property is beautiful, inside and out!! What an amazing view! Sitting by the big gas fireplace and watching the snow and waves outside was just incredible. The local host was fantastic and responded quickly to any questions we had. Amy is awesome!! The owners checked in to make sure we were happy and comfy. It was truly a pleasure and we highly recommend it! Will probably look to come back and enjoy it in the summer time!!

House was spacious, clean, easy check-in and -out, and directly on the beach with fantastic views of the lake -- even/especially in winter!

  • Great escape! Beautiful views

    5/5

I cannot express enough how wonderful it was to stay at this property. The house was perfect, and location and views were spectacular. We enjoyed much time relaxing by the fireplace and sitting by the beach watching the freighters go by. What a peaceful retreat for our family. The surrounding towns provided fun sight seeing trips for our family. We would definatly recommend this property!

  • Great place!

    5/5

We really enjoyed this house. The location was perfect, right on the water, lots of open beach, and a great view. The location was both remote and not too far from either Drummond Island or Cedarville. The house was very comfortable and very well stocked. We will be back!

  • Amazing Home With Beach Access and Privacy

    5/5

This home was almost as advertised, but they do have a second firepit right off the porch, which we used almost every night we were there. There is a beautiful overlook from the living room of the small, natural dunes and the lake that was amazing.

We played in the water, enjoyed coffee down on the beach to watch the sunrise, explored the beach, and we all had a good time. The home is well stocked and beautiful! The beds were comfy, and the wild outside was peaceful and refreshing. The owner was really easy to communicate with and made sure everything was smooth with our check in and stay.

The only downside would be that the beach and the other firepit area (with the red chairs and umbrella) are a little more rustic to get to. There is a path through the sand, but if you have any issues with terrain, it could be a challenge. We personally didn't mind it and like that the property is kept as natural as possible (we're from a developed area along the lake that has major issues with erosion).

Food in the area is scarce. I would suggest not relying on open restaurants, as many of them are seasonal. Personally, we plan on purchasing groceries and cooking in for future trips. The harbor is pretty neat to visit, and you can see the ferry going to and fro from Dummand Island. There is a botanical garden not far from the home and driving in to De Tour to explore is only a short jaunt from the home.

We will definitely be staying here again and for many years to come.
