  • Nice for Family but ..

    4/5

Very nice views, owner very responsive, well stocked. Bring walking beach shoes for rocks.

One item that the owner can't do anything about..

The one item, that is a big one, is that the only way to get to the house on North point shores is by using Misery Bay road past the Alpena cement factory and quarry. The lime and cement dust is incredible that gets on your car. Took most of a morning to get the lime off my truck , engine. wheel walls and then my driveway from all the lime coming off my truck.

    Manager's Response:

From the Owner: "Thank you , When you come back again, take Bloom Rd (East) to Northpointe Rd (South/right turn) and then make a right (West) onto Misery Bay Rd to bypass the factory completely.
There are two big baskets of beach shoes for guest use as well. Thank you."

  • Awesome Beechside retreat

    5/5

Nice home in private location. Large private beach on Thunder Bay. Lots of a great outdoor spaces to just hang out and enjoy the lake. Clean house with all the amenities you would want. Great fire pit and water toys. The owner was super responsive and answered any questions we had and provided a lot of information about close activities to enjoy. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.

This location was the perfect spot for my wife, our 5 kids and I.

First - the house is inviting clean, many places to congregate and find privacy.

Second - As a rock hound this spot was a dream for my treasure hunter family and I.

Third - this place provides breath taking views and amenities to make your/family’s stay simple. From water shoes, to life vests to hammocks…Just buy some groceries and beer and you are all set! :)

Our family had such an amazing relaxing stay and I would recommend to anyone looking to escape the day to day grind. What a reset!

The house is so clean and cozy. We didnt have kiddos with us but it would be a perfect place for a family with kids to stay. Very dog friendly! Beach and views could not be beat!

  • Lake Huron sunsets

    5/5

Stayed here with 3 children and 4 adults. The house is child friendly with a sweet little ‘book nook’ stocked with toys and picture books. Plenty of towels and the kitchen is well stocked. Appreciated all the coffee options!

Nice outdoor spaces with an upper deck off the kitchen, nice place to watch the sunsets in the evening, which is rare along Lake Huron! The lower decks are great for sitting as well. The beach is rocky with some areas of sand, but it is a great place to hunt for fossils and petoskey stones. Bring beach shoes.

Comfy, cozy nicely arranged furniture as well. Comfortable house, quiet area. We enjoyed our stay.

Often saw deer and fox too. Lots of wooded areas,
