  • Nice place and I’d do it again.

    5/5

This was a nice place that fit the bill perfectly for me and I’ll definitely rent it again if the opportunity came up.

    - No issues with check-in or out.

    - Temps got into the mid-90’s and the heat pump kept up with no issues.

    - Wifi worked great. Mobile phone service was non-existent for me.

    - The water pressure in the shower was fine, and the hot water was plenty hot.

    - Dedicated parking was really convenient.

    - Gas station with convenience store was a few minutes up the road.

    - Figure on bringing about 1 gallon of potable water per adult per day for: coffee/tea, hydration, and brushing.

  • Very good base camp

    5/5

This cottage across from Sennebec Pond was a great experience. The host was very helpful and very nice. We will definitely be back. The only thing I will say is it is very rustic which is my taste but might not be for everybody. I am looking forward to booking again in the future!

  • Spartan but adequate

    4/5

My wife and I were looking for a spot to serve as "base camp" for day trips to the Maine coast. The cabin meet those needs. The amenities are a bit spartan, meaning you need to bring your own food. We were a bit concerned about how to stay warm until we noticed there was a new split A/C-Heating unit installed. There were no instructions but once we fired up the heat we were able to keep the main living area comfortable. The "master" bedroom had a portable electric radiator for heat. There was no heat in the second bedroom with twin beds. The double bed was not very comfortable as you tended to get "swallowed" by the soft mattress. The cabin is located off the coast and across the street from a very lovely small lake. Sunrises were pretty spectacular with a layer of fog floating above the water. Very nice.
