Reid State Park is just under an hour away. Overlooking the Atlantic, this state park is a perfect place to swim in the ocean, ride the waves, or build sandcastles on the shore! There is kayaking, paddle boarding, biking, and hiking nearby as well.
Stay a little closer to home by driving just 10 minutes over to Boothbay Harbor. Enjoy a picnic in the middle of the Boothbay Botanical Gardens, which offers a gift shop and restaurant as well as a beautifully maintained greenery.
Looking for a place to dine out? Boothbay Harbor offers a variety of restaurants right on the water, so you can try out some local seafood while watching vessels launch from shore. Be sure to stroll around the town to explore the many shops while you’re here.
Golfers, bring your clubs, as Boothbay Harbor Country Club is just 8 minutes away. If you’re not much of a golfer, join the locals over at Boothbay Brewery for some craft beers and a friendly atmosphere.

Great place, great view
5/5 Great place. Awesome view. Dream island. The house is nice and cozy. It could use some work on the furniture and the fridge door is hard to close. Word of advice, don't go on the dock of the neighbor. This house does not have a dock.

Beautiful Spot--cleanliness issues
4/5 We loved the view and the layout was as advertised. Unfortunately we were looking forward to kayaking, but we were told when we got there that we couldn't use it. Then, there were lots of sugar ants all around the kitchen. But, the water and the view are outstanding!

Very quaint and quiet location. Would rent again
5/5 This our second time to Boothbay Harbor. This time we came with our son, daughter in law and granddaughter who is 2. We had plenty of space and room. The owner was great to work with. In fact, the listing advertised a kayak and when we arrived we were told it was not working. The owner rented a kayak for the duration of our stay to make up for this. We greatly appreciated the rental as the kayak was one of the elements that helped us select this cottage. The location is ideal for sightseeing or just staying in and watching the tide come in and out. We would stay here again and highly recommend the cottage. Thank you for your hospitality.

Picturesque, romantic getaway
5/5 My wife and I just spent a lovely 2-night stay in this cozy little cottage and have nothing but nice things to say about it. The location was wonderful, the views were as good as we had hoped for, and the house had everything we needed and was super comfortable. We enjoyed going out in the kayak (a prior renter had told the owner that it had a leak, but there wasn't anything wrong with it that we could find) and just sitting and watching the tide come in and out of the cove from the comfort of the sitting room. Thanks, Frosty, for setting us up so well! We'll be back if we come back this way again.
