Good location, comfortable and spacious home.
4/5 The house is spacious and comfortable for our family of 5. Upstairs bedroom can get too hot in mid June. Only 1 shower but has good water pressure. We enjoyed our showers! Carpet and bed in master bedroom needs updating.
Nearby places we went to- Bass harbor lighthouse, Seafood Ketch restaurant, Beech mountain trail, Peter trout restaurant, Clark point cafe. Echo lake is close by but we couldn't get parking when we tried to visit. About 30 mins drive to Bar harbor.

SW Harbor - June 2024
4/5 The property was clean and comfortable and had a good view of the water, and we enjoyed staying here. The driveway is steep and a bit rough at the bottom, but our Chevy Traverse negotiated it without 4WD.
The SW Harbor area was much less crowded than Bar Harbor but still had a good selection of nearby restaurants. There were hikes near the property, and the core section of Acadia NP was about half an hour away.
If we stayed on the SW Harbor side of the park I would come back to this property, but I might be inclined to stay in NE Harbor, which is a little closer to the main attractions in the park but without the crowds of the Bar Harbor area.

Perfect Location and Great Host
5/5 I stayed at the property with five friends. The location is perfect - right in Southwest harbor with a harbor view - and the owner could not have been a more gracious host.

Quick getaway
4/5 We needed a getaway and enjoyed a couple of days at this home in Southwest Harbor. It is older but that works as we travel with dogs. Found everything we needed at the home. Enjoyed the area very much.

Good location!
4/5 Liked being quiet Southwest Harbor. Easy drive to Acadia Mt trailhead and Bass Harbor lighthouse, 20 min to main entrance of Acadia National park. Master bedroom Huge, the other 2 rooms very small. Upstairs half bath good for people 5’ or shorter due to slanted roof. Whole house could use updating, but everything was clean and functional. Only 1 shower in the house. We didn’t use grill, AC or wood stove. House smelled a little musty without the windows open. Good Wi-Fi signal! 2 min walk to marina for our lobster boat tour!!
