The kids enjoyed the pool. The house and the setting in the woods were ideal for our family but Searsport needs some loving

Fabulous stay! From the moment that we pulled into the long private drive, it was heaven. Very secluded property. The house was perfect! Bedrooms are spacious, as are the bathrooms. The basement bedroom was like its own lil place. Large bathroom with a huge closet/dressing room. The kitchen is well laid out, since we had 3 cooks, and no one was in the way.
The loft is perfect for those who want a lil privacy and has all the amenities of the main house.
The owners were lovely folks. Needed a propane tank fill, and Ed was there first thing in the morning.
If your looking for fresh lobster, go to Lobster 207 in Trenton ME. Prices were great!
This home had everything we needed. The kitchen was REALLY well stocked with good quality cookware and dishes…even an InstantPot! The bedrooms were all lovely, including the basement suite which felt like a getaway for my husband and I. There is one first floor bedroom which was great for an elderly family member. The railing upstairs is a bit lower than typical, which was not a real safety concern for us but could be for some. We enjoyed the yard, firepit and pool. Fun local things not to miss — Fort Knox (kids will love exploring here!), the Observatory on the Penobscot Narrows Bridge (tallest bridge observatory in the world!!), and the Unique Rock Shop. Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor are just over an hour away - definitely worth a day trip or two!
