My family and i have taken annual summer trips for 10 years now and this was our first time at Nash Cabins and I must say we've found our summer vacation "home". Over the years its been difficult to settle on one because I have a young one with special needs who lacks safety awareness yet LOVES the water so finding a place that was safe for him to play more independently while giving me the chance to be more present and interact with my older kids seemed impossible until we found Nash. The cabin was immaculate and very cozy, the lake was SO STUNNING (we even took the most beautiful pictures on the water at sunset) it's very quiet and peaceful and Jane was beyond accommodating and pleasant!
We cannot wait to go back!
From the owner: "I am very happy you had a wonderful experience! I feel blessed to have your family here. Thank you for coming and I look forward to your return visit."
Our stay was nothing short of amazing.
The cabin was the perfect size for our family of 4 and it was clean and had recently been redone. It was also extremely close to the lake which had a small sandbar around the corner which was heaven for both my kids and I to explore. Most of the time, the beach was not buggy as there was a plethora of dragonflies which was also neat for my kids to see. During the night, you can hear a couple of loons calling to each other.
The cabin is also close to many popular sights for families: it’s less than an hour away from Portland, it’s incredibly close to the Maine Wildlife Park, and there’s a bunch of restaurants and great lobster rolls around the area. Although it’s over an hour away, our three and 1.5 year old enjoyed the Botanical Gardens and got some home made ice cream on the way back.
Honestly, this place and Jane was just so accommodating that we are hoping to look into another trip up to Maine next year. And when your 3 year old asks to go back even when it’s close to being 8 hours away, you know it’s wonderful.
From the owner: "Dear Kyle, It was a pleasure having your family here. Thank you for comments!"
