4/5 We found the place perfectly clean, and I could detect no scent of mothballs. The place was perfect for us because our dog tends to bark loudly when he hears, or thinks he hears, sounds outside. The apt is sufficiently far from the main house, that I doubt anyone could hear him. Some room for improvement: no ceramic/glass serving bowls (there were 2 plastic bowls), no serving spoons. In the bathroom, the decorative towel bar pulls out of the wall. A solid bar with room for two bath towels would be good. Also a few hooks in the bathroom would be nice as well.We were there for some very hot days and the air conditioning was very good.All in all, a good place to stay for people who have dogs.

2/5 The location is great and it is very peaceful. However, it should have been cleaned better prior to our arrival. The floors and counters could have been cleaner, as there was a fair amount of dirt and crumbs. There was a sticky spill on the coffee table that had to be cleaned up, the ceiling fans were covered in dust and cobwebs and we cleaned them prior to using. The biggest offender was the overpowering smell of mothballs. There were also mouse droppings in the closet that held the extra bedding.

Adorable cabin
5/5 This was such a cute place. Felt very homy & comfortable. My kids truly enjoyed it there. They want to come back next year & stay here again. Highly recommend this place!

Not our cup of tea
3/5 It’s the small touches and fulfillment of preferences that make a good rental experience, and this one missed the mark for us. The bathroom featured a leaky shower stall, paper thin towels, and the toilet was not the cleanest. The Keurig was moldy and we cleaned it, but then thought better of it and went out to get coffee instead.
