  This is a beautiful property in a forested quiet area and the charming cottage is really nicely designed, decorated, and appointed. Our hosts were just as wonderful! The quiet roads through the forest gave us endless walks with frequent views of inlets and lakes, and occasional interactions with friendly and interesting local people. Acadia Ntl park is an easy drive away and it is amazing. We loved so many things about this property and area and we can't wait to go back.

• Peaceful and gorgeous!

  What a wonderful stay at Tranquil Retreat! Visiting the Schoodic Peninsula for an art residency, I was seeking a rental that would provide a quiet and restorative space when not working in the studio nearby.

  This apartment was perfect, and I look forward to returning. Communication was timely, friendly, and informative. There was a welcome basket full of goodies upon arrival! The owners next door were helpful and responsive, while not at all intrusive. The space was tastefully decorated, extremely clean, neat, and equipped with everything one might need.

  What really completed this gorgeous home away from home were the ocean views, sounds, autumn color, and the deck from which to enjoy them all with coffee or wine, which I enjoyed even with the chilly October temps.

  The cottage was super clean and had everything you would need to enjoy your stay. Enjoyed the view of the harbor from the deck and relaxing out by the fire pit in the afternoon. The hosts were very friendly and kind but also unobtrusive. Would definitely recommend and book again!

  This property was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The apartment has been well cared for and offers all of the amenities for a fabulous stay. We were greated with a very much appreciated goodie basket of snacks and a kind welcome message from the owner. This was welcome as we arrived after driving many hours that day.Communication with the owner was excellent. The location is near the Schoodic Peninsula which is a wonderful area to explore. I highly recommend this property.

• What a wonderful place!

  We spent 10 days in this lovely, quiet place. The cottage is beautifully made and outfitted. It feels spacious, and the artwork, furniture, and kitchen equipment, and bathroom supplies are all very nice. It has everything needed to live comfortably and really relax. The views out every window are pretty and the balcony overlooking the lovely yard, trees, and ocean was the best place to sit and enjoy coffee, or the moon. The quiet roads in this area offer long walks through forest with frequent views of ocean, inlet, or lake. Acadia National Park is close and amazing. Our hosts were so lovely - relaxed, and generous, and fun to talk with. They gave us good advice whenever we asked. We look forward to returning to see them as well as their beautiful part of the world.
