    It was our first time in Portland and we were also celebrating my birthday. This place is so so cute and furnished so well with a coastal theme. Kim was so great with communicating with me before our trip and was able to switch dates for us. She even left some gorgeous hydrangeas on the counter for us! The dvd collection was amazing. Everything in the apartment was super clean and fully stocked. It was the perfect weekend getaway!!

  • Peace and comfort in Portland

    We absolutely loved our stay in Portland. The directions were clear and the property was very easy to find and had great parking. The house is immaculately clean and has much more space than you can tell from the pictures. We loved enjoying morning coffee on the private porch overlooking the trails. The bed is so comfortable and extra blankets and linens were easy to find. Our host was very responsive and even left us a surprise gift as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary that weekend. We loved the little personal touches like the welcome book and suggestions for food and things to do in the area. Having access to the Portland walking trails was also a great bonus. We look forward to our next trip to Portland and hope to stay here again.

  • Decent stay w some bumps

    The home itself was cute but seems like it needs some updating. Check in was a bit frustrating. I had emailed the owner a month in advance to get early check in as my partner and I were on a red eye flight and just wanted to sleep as soon as we got there. She confirmed that we would be able to check in at noon. Directions to get to the home should be listed on the booking site, when we got to the home we accidentally walked into the actual homeowners home opposed to our rental that we booked and were very confused on where to go. I did receive an email with directions but not until the morning of and was going off what the actual booking site said. The keypad had not been changed and we could not get into our rental which was very frustrating. I called the home owner multiple times, left a voicemail, and even called evolve customer service. We waited nearly an hour to get into our rental running on no sleep. Luckily someone was there to fix something damaged inside the unit and was able to let us in through the garage. I explained the situation to the woman that was there to fix something and she replied “ya she never picks up her phone”. When we got inside there were a few things clearly out of place like rolled up linens and carpets by the front door. The woman then took down a broken curtain, left it on the kitchen counter and left. Couple issues with the tvs inside the unit, luckily the owner resolved the tv in the bedroom but the tv in the living room just kept glitching and we decided it would just be easier to watch something on my laptop. The blinds in the bedroom broke the 2nd night and in the check in instructions it was listed that a few things needed a “gentle touch” but I think a little renovation would’ve gone a long way. Bed in bedroom wasn’t too comfy and made it slightly difficult to sleep. The location of the rental was decent and I think with a bit of updating & better communication/check in it would’ve been a lot better of an experience. We paid nearly $2,700 for a week which paying that much and I would’ve expected more updated appliances and a smoother process all round especially it being 20 minutes from the beach I did think it was a bit overpriced as I am from that area and had a bit higher expectations. Communication after the first day was better I just think the first day put a bit of a bad taste as check in is your first impression.
