Cute and cozy
5/5 We loved this place! It’s like a mix of country/rustic and modern/bougie. It’s kinda in the middle of nowhere and yet it’s easy to access lots of beautiful mid-coast Maine within 20-60 minutes. The barn/cottage is obviously a second home for the owners, you get the feel that you’re in someone’s home, and yet it’s also really set up well for your enjoyment. We brought our dog (reasonable add-on cost), who really enjoyed the backyard. The night sky was dark and clear the first night, and it was amazing how many individual stars we could see, as well as the Milky Way. Would definitely stay again!
Having said that, I wasn’t thrilled with how Evolve handled the listing details and complicated the rental process - having VRBO in the middle between host and renter is complicated enough.

A great home base
5/5 It was a wonderful getaway location. If we hadn’t had plans to travel around the area, I would have been content to simply hang out on this beautiful property with its myriad of birdhouses, gardens and structures.
My family and I felt right at home, and everything went splendidly. The hosts left easy to follow instructions, and communication with them was seamless.
There were no problems at all while we were there.
