Terrible, had to leave the day after Thanksgiving, no water!
Hi Lisa, we’re sorry to hear that your holiday stay was impacted by a water outage. After following up with the homeowner, they’d like to share some context about the situation:
– The water issue was caused by a power outage due to heavy snow in the area. Since the home relies on an electric pump for well water, the loss of power temporarily affected the water supply. We proactively notified the power company, who responded quickly and restored power overnight, within 12 hours. Throughout the outage, we provided you with frequent status updates.
– We quickly addressed the issue during your visit, but you chose to leave early, and we respected that. As a gesture of goodwill, we provided the refund you requested.
While this situation was beyond our control, we’re confident the property will continue to provide excellent stays for future guests.

Bathrooms were disgusting, I have photos to prove called the evole people. Still in contact as we speak. There was so much mold in the master bath it took me 2.5 hours to clean the bathrooms and frig. No place to relax TV was down stairs and you couldn't use because of the musty smell that took your breath away after 2mins of being in that area .Defiantly feel that is a health hazed. you should be looking into these places especial after looking at a review from about 1.5 years ago. You can see on the cameras we didn't spend much time in the house. Had to go to my sister's place to watch tv and relax. For the sake of other customers, you need to investigate this place. Your guest can get seriously ill in this place especially in the basement. mold has to be spreading through this house. I cleaned for 2.5hrs just to be able to stay in this filth. I was not happy nor were others that were staying there. I have photos please tell me how to send them. I totaly except to be compensated for this nightmare of a trip a full refund is more like it. My concern is also for others who will get tricked into renting this place . Again i have photos so i have proof of the filth

- It's disappointing to hear about your concerns regarding the cleanliness and musty smell in the house. We genuinely strive to provide a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all our guests.
- Before your stay, we addressed your concerns about mold, confirming there was no mold in the house and taking measures to maintain a comfortable environment, including the installation of a whole-house dehumidifier. It's important to clarify that your concerns, including references to older reviews and bringing Lysol with you, have already been remedied. These issues do not represent the current state of our property.
- Additionally, we acknowledge that there was an issue with one of the bathrooms, which was addressed promptly by our cleaning team, and we refunded the cleaning fee for that bathroom.
- As for the amenities, we have multiple spaces in the house for relaxation, including living rooms, a sunroom, and a deck with comfortable seating. Additionally, there are four televisions with Roku streaming service for your entertainment.
Our property aligns with the listing photos and has received positive four- and five-star reviews from most past guests. We apologize if your stay didn't meet your expectations and hope future guests will have a more enjoyable experience. Thank you for your feedback.
Really should be smoke detectors. I didn't sleep well knowing there wasn't one smoke detector in the entire home with my kids staying here. Took a bit to figure out the nest thermostat, directions would of made it easier. Only other thing, having salt or sand for the steps to the entrance. My 75 year old mother stayed with us and the stairs and deck were very slippery. Other than that, it was a great stay!

Hi Glen, thank you for staying at our home. I wanted to let you know we have installed several brand new smoke detectors in each bedroom, stairway, and in the living areas and kitchen. Also our house prep team that does our shoveling has been notified to sand the steps and deck in the future. Thank you for your feedback and we hope you will stay with us again!
