Decent Spot for a Summer Getaway with Friends
3/5 This place definitely accommodated our relatively large (14 person) party. There are six bedrooms, one being the master with its own bath, another upstairs, and four bedrooms in the basement all roughly the same size (just enough to fit a bed with nightstands on either side.) The basement rooms do not have windows, but the rooms upstairs do. I appreciated the colorful decor in the house and all the rooms. You can tell the owner loves this property & knows how to have fun!
I did encounter some minor confusion, there is a rule somewhere in the evolve fine print that states that “no more than 14 people are allowed on the property”. Despite this the owner is flexible to have some temporary guests over for dinner if you communicate it ahead of time. I made the mistake of not doing this, which resulted in some confusion between us that I think could have been avoided.
There is a small kiddie pool available in the backyard which seems great for future guests with children! Our friends baby enjoyed it!
All appliances are new, and there is plenty of cook ware for feeding all 14 folks. The back yard was also great for having a proper campfire at night.
Future renters should be aware that the lake access is a 300 yard walk down the road to a trail, with the dock pictured at the end. It is not connected directly to the backyard. There is also a very nice beach (Pismo Beach) within a 4 minute drive - this is where our group ended up frequenting and it worked out great!
