  We had a wonderful week at Thompson Lake. It was by far the best we had in the many years we have been renting on a lake in Maine!!!

• Our favorite Spot

  This cottage is perfect for families! This is our third stay and we will be back again. The lake is beautiful, the dock is perfect to bring your boat & sunsets are unmatched! The owners are very nice and always make sure we have what is needed. The beds are comfortable. We had so much fun waterskiing, boating, fishing, swimming and more!

• What a view!

  We had a great week at the Lakefront Cottage. We come to Thompson Lake every summer with our dog, and this cottage worked out great for us. The views of the sunsets are fantastic, we had a great fire in the fire pit and woke each morning to the beautiful sounds of the loons. The hosts were so welcoming and helpful. We had perfect Maine weather, highs in the 70s and lows in the '60s. There is a front and back screen door in the main cabin and the hosts added a large box fan based on previous review. They also added a Keurig coffee maker.

  The property is beautiful. The location on the lake couldn't be beat. The hosts are extremely friendly and easy to communicate with. I gave the property a 4 because we couldn't open the windows(also no screens in the windows) in the main part of the cabin and on hot summer days and nights the inside was very uncomfortable. The bedrooms have ceing fans but nothing in the main cabin. Luckily we brough our own but it still didn't cool the cabin enough. Being somewhat picky it would have been nice for the cabin to be equiped with a coffee maker or small keurig. That being said, we had a fantastic stay!

  Hi Sharon, thanks for taking the time to review your stay. After reading your feedback, the homeowner wanted to share the following:
  - Each of the two bedrooms is equipped with one window that opens, complete with a screen, as well as a window that doesn't open. We provide two window fans that our guests can use to create a pleasant breeze inside the rooms.
  - Both bedrooms also have ceiling fans to enhance ventilation and offer a comfortable atmosphere.
  - The living room and kitchen area are designed as an open space, and it has one window with a screen. Additionally, we have two skylights with screens and two doors with screen doors, which allows for a cross breeze throughout the cottage when they are opened.
  - While there are two windows in the living room that don't open, there are five other ways to create a breeze – one window, two skylights, and two doors.
  - Additionally, we have already scheduled to have all the windows replaced this fall.
