With great size and good location with easy walk/ bike ride to Mother’s Beach, this house should be a winner. Excellent, well-equipped kitchen with huge kitchen table supports a large crew very easily. Main drawback is the run-down nature of the property. The house has a beautiful wraparound porch which should be the social focal point. Unfortunately, the porch is covered with old, dirty carpets and equally dilapidated furniture pieces with flaking paint that stuck to our grandchildren’s hands. Impossible to enjoy that beautiful space which has been allowed to deteriorate unnecessarily. Shower head in the master bath was broken; the garage was a messy repository of castaway toys and furniture; the grill was dilapidated and filthy. With a little attention, this property could and should be an excellent vacation home for a large family/group.

Hi Carla, thanks for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent stay. After reading your comments, the homeowner wanted to share the following:
-"As the summer season draws to a close, we routinely conduct touch-ups and replace rugs and furnishings in preparation for the upcoming season. This ensures that the property is in excellent condition for our guests.
-We have recently replaced the grill, and it's important to note that there are two grills in the garage. It is possible that our guests may not have realized this and used an older grill rather than the newer one. We will make certain to clean and maintain both grills to guarantee their optimal functionality.
-It's worth mentioning that the garage is designated as private and not intended for guest use. While it may be used for storage purposes, it is not a space for guests to access or utilize.
Our commitment to all our guests is to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests as evidenced in all other reviews."
Our family ranged from 1 yr to 71 yrs with 11 adults and children under 8. The house could not have been more perfect and met all of our needs for sleeping, eating, and playing. The amenities were better than described and the house was beautiful, comfortable and also, very well stocked with supplies. The second kitchen was large and well-planned and essential to accommodate everyone’s needs and space. The entertainment area over the garage was great and kept nighttime activity away from those sleeping. The house was huge with many porches and rooms to read, hide or socialize, however the best part was it’s fabulous location to the beach-we walked and biked to Mother’s Beach which was above and beyond perfect for our crew. The location couldn’t have been better for beaches and shopping- close enough to enjoy, while private enough to relax. Thank you for an amazing week!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It's a lovely home with ample space for our family reunion of 8 people. The house was nicely furnished and had everything we needed, from towels and sheets to kitchen supplies. While we didn't use the kitchen for cooking, it had a good supply of pots and pans. And the fact that it was only a 5 minute drive to the Kennebunkport shops and restaurants made it a perfect location.
The property was beyond expectations. I have found in the past, pictures look better than the actual premises. Not so with this property. It was amazing. The setup is superb. Do much room for so many. We have a large family so we need space. We also have many “chefs,” whom live to cook and provide exceptional meals for all. This property not only provided this, it provided areas we could all choose to be social or choose seclusion depending on mood and time of day. We enjoyed learning the history of the family and Dr. Joseph Grady who is responsible for this extremely delightful property. It assists in understanding the design, which supports family gatherings and social encounters. I’m hopeful to be able to stay here again and again as it fits our annual family gatherings. We would love to own this property, though for now being a guest is a privilege. Thank you for its capabilities and providing another year of unforgettable family memories!

Siblings, partners, and cousins gathered at this wonderful home in Kennebunk. This home was perfect, because you can really spread out and have your own spaces. Two people who needed privacy stayed over the garage, a great space with a living room, TV, and bathroom accessible by stairs. An en suite bedroom is right off the kitchen, which has a massive table for group meals and games. The upstairs has 3 separate areas: two Queen rooms are up one staircase with a shared bath; a separate Spiral staircase takes you to a King suite and a room with 2 singles that share a bath; the top floor has another king room, a room with 6 singles, and a shared bath. We really enjoyed being together and apart! Great house for a big group. It has been thoughtfully stocked and organized - a 10 minute walk to Mothers beach plus towels and chairs in a closet. Two fridges, dishwashers, and grills made it easy to feed us all together.
