  Owner was a perfect host. Place was a little jewel box, with perfectly adequate accommodations. Comfortable bed, seating, equipment.

  We enjoyed immensely.

  Bear Pond is right outside the railed back steps and was lovely.

  We'll be back if we can squeeze into the mant popular booking.

  Trash was everywhere! their write-up:  Step through the sliding glass door, should say caution as the screen door falls off EVERY time Safety: the host indicated there is a smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector, and fire extinguisher, none of which were found. Charming living space boasts crisp white walls, after a picture on the cabinet in the bathroom fell you'll see the walls were not so crisp and the ceiling has blue tape on it.  If you want to get out on the water, hop into the provided paddle boat, which apparently was "stolen", when asked if there was any charcoal I got the last guest stole it.  No life jackets as pictured, some under the house all cruddy but only kids size. No water toys as described, and the lawn hasn't been mowed in weeks. Was told Ron would deliver firewood and some sort of flotation stuff, never received  these items until late on day 2. He told us we could burn some of the branches that are piled up along the lot.  The home gets superior cleaning conducted in between each stay, according to Ron the last guest, who were friends of the family cleaned it. toilet ran non-stop made the pump run non stop, so we had to keep turning the toilet on and off when needed.  Carpets nasty, roll out bed had water/pee stains on it, pull out couch mattress was thin, l like sleeping on the frame. Owner agreed reimburse, that never happened. With that being said, the positive parts were the bad AC and tons of movies

• Family Getaway

  We had a delightful family retreat at the cottage. With my children aged 6 and 9, the sandy waterfront was a true highlight for them! We spent most of our days enjoying the beach, swimming, and canoeing in the serene cove. The owners were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, which added to our pleasant experience. The bed provided a comfortable night's sleep, and the kitchen was well-stocked with all the essentials. We also appreciated the great selection of DVDs available. The charcoal grill was ideal for our grilling needs, and the kitchen had everything we required for our stay. We eagerly anticipate returning in the future.
