Wonderful house with great views of water. Everything was as advertised and we had a very relaxing stay. Will definitely consider returning.

What a beautiful home. We loved the natural light and water views from every room. We had a spectacular sunset and enjoyed the wildlife, the herons and eagles and the deer, bunny, fox, and muskrat in the yard. The mosquito population did make it difficult to be outside even with personal mosquito repellant applied, so we really appreciated the screened gazebo which made it possible to enjoy fresh air on the property.
We loved the furnishings - the Gino Russo coffee table is stunning. The notebook with detailed notes about the house and area and the brochures for Blackwater was very helpful. We went to the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad museum and the Blackwater Wildlife Drive was perfect for my 91 year old husband and my 85 year old self, while the younger generation went back the following day to walk some of the trails. They got some marvelous photos. We were grateful that the owner was very responsive when we had a problem.
It was wonderfully relaxing environment for our family. We loved the sun set sky. We felt nicely at home in the interior and loved talking, reading, watching birds from the gazebo.

Just what we were looking for: gorgeous views of the water, very comfortable king size bed, relaxing hot tub; location remote enough to feel unplugged but close enough to towns and sites to have things to do if we wanted. We very much enjoyed our stay and would go again.

The house was spotless and beautiful! Fully supplied with coffee, cleaning supplies, spices, etc., basically everything you would need for a relaxing stay. We enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. Loved the gazebo and took full advantage of the stunning sunsets on the dock. A+ all the way around. The property is somewhat secluded so you need to drive to restaurants and shopping.
