Our goal was a dog-friendly place in New England that was less than a 3-hr drive from RI, was on or very close to water, and provided some type of boat(s). Given that we were booking very close to our vacation date, this checked off our requirements and ended up being fine. The cabin is a bit funky and is a bit of an exercise in "making do" but it worked out. The owners are very responsive and provided us with the missing bedding and more tp quickly. Unfortunately, the deck furniture was all pretty dirty and the grill never got above 300 degrees so we had to use the tiny apartment-sized stove/oven for all the cooking. The main living area basically has just a few very small, upper windows so it is fairly dark, but there are dozens of lamps! If you are looking for something updated and sparkling clean with an easy working kitchen, this may not be for you. If you are open to funky and cute, with a nice pond and the use of a row boat and paddleboat, and dog-friendly, this will do just fine!
We had a great experience here. I grew up on this lake and was looking for a rental nearby to show my son and nieces. This cabin was clean and had everything you needed. The owner was very kind and always available for help.
This Pet-Friendly Cabin was very cozy. It is in a woodland neighbor of cabins, but it feels very secluded. Nobody was at the one cabin that we could see. The weather was cool while we were there, so we enjoyed a campfire outside and one in the indoor fireplace. The cabin was decorated by someone like my grandma who was obsessed with bears and apples. The cabin is a short stroll from a lake with a beach. Although our overall experience was good, there are few negatives. First, there are no doors on the bedrooms! Why would you rent a place without doors! Second, the furnace is in one of the bedrooms! It's not in a closet or whatever; it's actually in the bedroom. For many visitors that might not be an issue because they visit in warm weather. When we were there, there were frosty nights and the furnace kicked on every few minutes. Lastly, there was NO information--I mean not one word--about the neighborhood. The cabin is in a private neighborhood but they don't tell you what the neighborhood rules are. They don't let you know whether guests are allowed to use the beach and other amenities, and if you can, what the rules are! I could have attempted to contact the host, but that is an inconvenience for answers to such obvious questions.

Charming decor and solid furniture. Lovely screened porch and deck. Micro kitchen—smaller that we expected but we’ll-equipped. Bedrooms also smaller than expected. Beds were good.

This is a rustic, perfectly well outfitted cabin. Had everything that we needed in the kitchen. The beds and the couches were very comfortable. Bonus points for the well water being really soft and tasting good. It’s a sweet little spot. So grateful it is pet friendly!
