  The studio inside was clean and well stocked with extra linens and terry. Outside needs attention. Simple things like picking up trash, removing broken lawn furniture, etc. Trash between the main house and the studio appears to have been there for quite awhile. The cooler provides on the deck was full to the brim with water. No idea if melted ice from use or ???? If the owner/manager would do the simple things this could be a 5 star property. Location was good. Unlike previous reviews we never heard any noise from the hospital nearby.

  Communication with the property was a bit haphazard. Part of this is because the property manager Evolve is not based on site and you have to go through a series of customer service agents to get any information about your stay. The contact person and info they provide answered my text but not my email and gave incomplete information about my stay. The key was not where they said it would be and had I not arrived early, and spoken with the cleaners, I would not have been able to get into the cottage.In terms of what to expect - the property is not particularly well kept. There was trash outside the house, paper towels or toilet paper and other stuff on the ground. The sheets are scratchy and low quality and there was one bar of soap for the sink but no body wash or soap for the shower. It is an extremely bare bones stay — the microwave was a plus but it would have been great to have a way to heat hot water. Everything seemed worn out and worn thin. The window towards the shared patio means that you are directly next to the folks that rent the larger property - they can see into your area, and you are very close to theirs. While the house is a great location for anyone who has to be at the hospital (it’s next door), it is on a very busy street and lacks any real ambience that would make you feel that you are on vacation - it is decidedly not Oak Bluffs but instead a neighboring community. It’s cheap, a little rough around the edges and loud.

  When we arrived to the location we realized that it is connected to a larger building that is quiet run down. The rental space it self needs to be updated and renovated also. Upon entering the space it became very apparent that the pictures do not accurately depict the current state of the space. Much of the furniture is worn out and dirty with stains. We pulled down the sheets and were greeted with a mixture of coarse black hairs all over. It looked like the sheets had been slept in and just pulled up to look like new sheets.

  After we reached out to the property manager he stated he would call the cleaners back to remedy the problem but sadly the tone of the trip was set. If you are looking for a room that is small, on a busy street about 5-10 years over due for renovation then this is your place!
