• Lack of amenities

  There were multiple issues with the home. First there was no oven, no grill, no dishwasher and no washer/dryer available. When we arrived the house smelled musty. The next morning when we tried to make breakfast we realized that some of the burners on the stove did not work and there was not even a griddle pan to make pancakes, so we had to make due with one small sauté pan. The refrigerator was apartment sized so I was hard to fit all of our food and drinks in it. We were expected to empty the dehumidifier when it beeped, the hot water went out one day and the next day the refrigerator stopped working and we had to throw out all of our food. We ate all dinners outside of the home but we had expected to make dinners at the house. We were quite disappointed with the lack of basic necessities for cooking. On the plus side the view was nice and the home was easy to find.

  -Thank you for acknowledging the nice lake view and great location
  -The listing description does not state there is an oven, washer, dryer, or grill. There is a brand new working dishwasher. We encourage guests to thoroughly review the listing before booking to meet expectations. The amenities you see on the listing are accurately advertised
  -Our home is professionally cleaned before each check-in, so we were surprised by your comment regarding the musty smell. We have passed this along to the cleaning crew to ensure that this issue does not recur for future travelers
  -We had no issues with the stove itself, but we're sorry if it did not exceed your expectations
  -We replaced all of the pots and pans in the kitchen, and this is the first time a guest has provided this feedback, we will pass along your comments to the cleaning team
  -For your convenience, the host arranged an earlier check-in for your group
  -The checkout requirements are standard within the vacation rental industry, however, there was no expectation to empty the dehumidifier
  -The hot water was fine, we were happy to offer a small refund to make up for the inconvenience and we're sorry you were unable to find the value in our home
  -The amenities you see on the listing are accurately advertised and you also confirmed the amenities with the homeowner before your trip without any concerns
  -We feel we provided you with great hospitality and were very responsive to your requests and questions
  We are accustomed to providing a 5-star experience for all of our guests and making your time at our home the best it can be. We're confident that we will continue to do so moving forward!
