Location was great but I wished that it was disclosed that the airbnb was above a popping restaurant. Meaning it's busy the entire time we were there so the community lot is a hit or miss eventhough they said we are allowed 2 cars. I guess I didn't realize it said first come first serve which means you're fighting with restaurant patrons and staff workers for parking. The back door to the kitchen is where you come into the airbnb so it's a shared entrance so the kitchen smell permeates the house. In addition when we first arrived they had an outside bar that was blasting music and since the place doesn't have AC, all the windows were open with fans on so the sound was so loud like if you were in the club. I also contacted the owner (email and text) 2 times about the parking (to get clarity) and the noise. I never once received a response or acknowledgement. The noise did come down so not sure if they addressed the matter after I complained. With all that said, the place was a nice location (right in front of a small beach) with nice views. It was centrally located within cape cod so pretty convenient to get to Chatham and Hyannis. Overall the place was spacious and it was actually really cool with the windows open but if it was in the middle on summer, not sure if that would have been comfortable. Overall it was a nice stay apart from the earlier issues I mentioned. I think this all should be disclosed as thus airbnb was rather pricy (about $4k for 3 nights) to be experiencing these issues.
From the owner: "I’m glad you enjoyed the home’s location and views, and I apologize for the concerns you experienced during your stay. My property manager was unexpectedly hospitalized at the time, which unfortunately delayed communication, but I’ve since ensured that future guests will have a direct contact available throughout their visit. The restaurant music is now monitored to end by 10 p.m., and parking spaces are clearly reserved with cones. I appreciate your feedback and am glad to hear you still enjoyed your time in Cape Cod overall."
Pros: The manager is available and very helpful! The space is huge! The kitchen is well-stocked with every sort of machine, serving dishes, etc. There is a closet containing lots of games and a laundry room! The bathrooms are great.Cons: There is no outside patio for use. No available grill. That is incorrectly listed as a feature. Noise and heat. This condo is directly above a very busy restaurant and there is no air conditioning. This means it was necessary to keep windows open so the noise of the restaurant was very loid in the condo. I thnk air conditioning is needed so that the noise can be muted somewhat.
