  Beautiful large cottage home. Large open concept with unique paneling on the walls and cathedral ceilings. We had room for dinners and keeping a puzzle going. Lovely deck with a view of the water/boats. Near a great beach. Hosts were friendly and always available.

  Good location, and the price was right, however, this rental is a little outdated and needs some TLC. a good paint job inside and out (some water damage in ceiling, one of the deck windows is pretty rotted), and quite a few things fixed (rust one some bathroom and sink fixtures). Some doors don't close (lower bathroom) at all. Listing says Keurig available, but none there. Says ice machine in frig, but that doesn't work, so no ice. Nice fireplace in main living area but not allowed to use (why even mention it?). Backyard is very messy, tree logs scattered in the back, lots of overgrown plants along the border. 2 bedrooms are bunk beds, so really only 1 main queen-sized bed in one bedroom. No TVs in the rooms (not that big a deal). Main bedroom has a really hard uncomfortable mattress. Seems to be wore out and leans towards the middle. Here are the good points, great for dogs. Has a large, fenced area where they can play and can't get out. Long wooded path to a nice sandy beach where you can sit on a chair and watch the bay, they had kayaks and a canoe (although, it's a long haul to the water), outside deck has nice table with chairs (careful with the deck railing, it very shabby and moves quite a bit). Good price. Sleeps 6 comfortably. New gas stove. Fairly stocked kitchen. Good A/C and Heat. It just needs some TLC and a little updating. Also, good wi-fi and internet access.

  It is with much concern that I would like to have you review my comments, due to the severity of this homes deplorable living conditions. 1.Best bring your own toilet paper as there was about 1/3 of an inch left on the roll, no spare. At least leave one roll, so we don’t have to go shopping as soon as we checked in. We left a full package for the next guest. Buy a toilet plunger while you’re at it! 2.The ice maker in the freezer is broken & has been, so they put in some ice trays, which have also been broken2.The ice maker in the freezer is broken & has been, so they put in some ice trays, which have also been broken in half. The small gray/white ones in half due to use. 6.On our 3rd night there we started noticing these large black Carpenter ants scattered throughout the house. We of course killed what we could and cleaned them up. By Thursday night they were increasing in locations and in the mass quantities of them. It was so horrible that we had to eat outside or go into town. Please see the photos below. I could have taken many more photos, but I think you’ll see the mess we had to deal with. These ants were literally chewing up the ceiling and falling to the floor and the dining room table, bedrooms etc. Just try to go to sleep not knowing when the next bunch will fall! Due to the ceiling height, for the most-part they died upon impact. We killed the ones we could get to.
