  Beyond words! The hosts are welcoming, informative and give you all the privacy you want. Da Boat House is nestled right on the Bayou to give you perfect views of glorious sunrises, afternoons in the shade and nights to watch the moon reflect on the ever changing current of the Bayou. Fishing is without end, relaxing, reading a book, meditating and thoughtful conversation filled our days with time and space to renew or souls. The hosts offered a “Live like a local” guide that is spot on for all the Bayou is known for including delicious Cajun food and local charm. We encountered friendly smiles and waves everywhere we went. You are only a 45 minute drive to the busy city of New Orleans for more excitement. Staying in a house boat on the land was so much fun! The accommodation is so well thought out with all the extras beyond what an impersonal hotel provides. The property is well manicured and very loved with brilliant color. Quiet, personal, cozy and comfortable are just a few words to describe our stay. We will tell everyone we know and make plans to return! You do not want to miss the one-of-a-kind getaway!

• Our work stay at da Boat House

  We had an incredible stay here while in town for work. We brought our fishing poles in order to take advantage of the waterfront property that was just steps from fishing. We were greeted with amazing hospitality and conversations with Shawn and Kari! With their custom tackle shop on site, we were able to get great tips and the right tackle to have a successful "work" vacation. This is a beautiful getaway location that is full of great views of birds and the local gators! An absolute must stay, we look forward to coming back!

  Absolutely enchanting. "Da Boat House" isn't just a place to stay; it's a soul-stirring experience that will forever hold a piece of our hearts. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in the warmth of true Southern hospitality, feeling less like guests and more like family.

  The serenity of the bayou is contagious. "Working", from this picturesque location was a dream, a tranquil escape where "work" flowed effortlessly. The view of the shrimp boat, the sound of the birds. The punk on the sound of your lure hitting the water, the sight of their neighborly alligator, "Hollywood" created a symphony of peace that allowed us to truly reconnect with ourselves and each other.

  And then there's Shawn and Kari their knowledge of the local wildlife and fishing is nothing short of exceptional. He transformed our fishing into wanted education and we caught a red fish and a speckled trout! So fun!! They shared their stories, and passion and expertise with infectious enthusiasm. We learned so much and felt truly privileged to experience the bayou through their eyes.

  The cozy, romantic boathouse itself is a haven of comfort and charm. The upbeat music, thoughtfully, added a layer of joy to our evenings, creating the perfect ambiance for relaxation and reconnection. Every detail, from the recommendations for authentic local cuisine contributed to an unforgettable stay.

  "Da Boat House" is a treasure, a hidden gem where the beauty of nature, the richness of culture, and the warmth of human connection come together in perfect harmony. • Da Boathouse Stay

  Enjoyed Da Boathouse stay. Unique and fun design and good location. Hosts were great and took care of a minor issue straight away. Would have been nice to have the stove functional to make a quick breakfast before fishing, but not a deal killer. Nice location on the water.
