Down home friendly owners who communicated well with us. We will definitely be staying here again.

Hi Monk, thank you for taking the time to leave your review. The homeowner has asked us to pass along the following message: "We're happy to hear your stay was a success. Please come again!"
If you have allergies you may want to reconsider staying here. The mustiness due to the age of the home and maintenance/cleanliness level made it difficult for me to breath.

From the owner: "I regret that you did not enjoy your stay at this 1890 Historical Home. I’m not sure how to respond to the allergies you have and the correlation to your stay at the house. This home has been completely remodeled inside in the last 25 years. New wiring, plumbing, sheetrock, and is painted on a regular basis as needed. The floors are mostly original so maybe wood floors could lend a different scent. The house rents really regularly so air conditioning removes excess moisture. I’ve just not had anyone stay and direct their allergy symptoms to the house. We clean this 3000 plus square feet house extensively each time.
I came to help you connect to wi-fi , show you where all towels were, and spoke to you multiple times but did not know of your dissatisfaction.
I will do all I can to make my guests stay as good as possible. An 1890 home is unique as is a new build and some people appreciate the uniqueness and others may need to choose newer homes to meet their needs.
Once again, I am sorry your experience was not as expected.
Sincerely, Dorothy"
The house was AMAZING! So unique and we got historical information from the owner. I sort of expected the house to be in the country, but it is located in a run down part of town. BUT the rest of the town is cute and quaint. Historical and has a great coffee shop! The owner is planning on purchasing surrounding property to clean up that side of town. Loved how affordable it was and how close to the caves and the corvette museum it was! We would stay again! :)

From the owner: "Thank you for being our guest! Our house is located in one of the oldest parts of town, the railroad Depo area. This area is slowly being cleaned up and getting a facelift! Our home is about the only house to survive and we agree that it’s unique. Thanks for appreciating it!"
It was like walking into the old houses of my childhood! The beds were comfortable, but the king bedroom door neither latched nor locked.
