  Had a great family vacation. Lake was fun. House was nice. Had a few broken items, some patio furniture and the screen to the doorway was broken. Kitchen cabinets could be a bit more organized so you could find things better. Overall would rent it again!We rented a pontoon, I would highly recommend it.

• Stayed Twice

  We've stayed on this property twice, once in August 2023 and again in June 2025. We really like that we can bring our dog with us and stay here and the yard is basically fenced off. The house layout is nice and the room above the garage is good if some folks like (or need) some separation. The neighbors and neighborhood are really nice as well, and very quiet. The house is basically clean and beds and furniture are comfortable. The one thing I will say (and I admit, I'm a little fussy) is that some of the materials in the home are dated, and therefore a little more difficult to keep spotless, like the upstairs shower in the main house and the kitchen floor. There was also a bit of debris tucked under the stairs of the garage unit, which didn't cause any issue, it just wasn't nice to look at. The carpet had been replaced between '23 and '25 which was good, and the dock had been replaced as well. The right sliding door was not functioning either time we stayed, and the left sliding door needed lubrication both times so that we could open it without a hernia. Let's hope those sliding doors are replaced next! ;) Owners were in contact with us and friendly. in all, it's a good place to stay on the lake, especially when you've got a furry friend!

  The location of the house was great and easy to access, and the yard/deck would be amazing if the weather had been warmer. The owners had asked for a text upon arrival, which we did and received a nice welcome in response. The house was spacious and as advertised, it could sleep 10. However, as another reviewer pointed out, the winding staircase to the two twin beds is very narrow and best suited for children or a very small adult.

  Oddly, the house had numerous ladybugs and a few bees which had made their way inside due to the colder temperatures. It seems that a more thorough or recent cleaning might have found these and removed them before we arrived. Although we had to leave earlier than planned as our daughter became ill, we would not have been able to use the oven as it was covered in a white residue. We did not feel comfortable turning it on since we did not know what it was. Since we were there over the Thanksgiving holiday, this presented challenges.

  We did notify the owner that we had to depart earlier than planned and shared our concern about the oven, however, we did not receive an acknowledgement or a response.

  Your observations are correct in that the presence of ladybugs is a reflection of the colder temperatures. The owners have the house treated regularly to ensure there is no impact on the guest experience, but sometimes we miss areas for extra or follow-up cleaning, e.g.
  
  The oven, which we cleaned but failed to wipe out the residual ash inside. For these omissions, we sincerely apologize and hope that you will consider renting the house when the weather is more predictable.
