• Kind owners, unfortunate bug problem

  Let me preface by saying the owners are prompt and kind, and the hosting company Evolve was very easy to work with.Days before arriving, I found newer online reviews (made after I had reserved) stating there was a spider problem. Brown recluses. One lady was allegedly bit.We msgd Evolve and the guest contact. They assured us everything had been treated. We decided to check it out, knowing we could stay at a hotel if we needed to.The property inside is pristine; you can tell it’s a new listing. Perhaps not cozy, but very clean. Before unloading our car, we flipped every cushion and blanket. Sure enough, we found a dead recluse and a very much alive (and big) recluse. My husband spoke with a neighbor and said the house was “the talk of the community” on social because of the spiders.I spoke with the owner on the phone. She was kind and offered us a 100% refund. I’m not sure what their next steps will be with this property. Recluses take time to eliminate. I wish them the best, but I do hope the listing is removed for the time being while more treatment happens.

  The property itself was decent. It was right on the lake and it was lovely to sit on the deck to have a cup of coffee in the morning. While we were there we noted that all of our towels were wet. We notified the host and were told that they were cleaned but not completely dried. The host took our feedback and said they implemented quick dry towels so hopefully this helps future guests! While messaging with the host, she was responsive and polite! Future guests should note that there was only one thin pillow per guest on the beds, so if you need more, bring more! Additionally, we only used the master bed, but it was a very FIRM mattress. As a side-sleeper, this made sleeping difficult. I recognize that not all mattresses will work well for me, but wanted to let others know.Cleanliness-wise the property was good. All surfaces appeared cleaned with the minor exception of the mirrors, which were definitely wiped down but extremely hazy.

• Great Property in Dale

  Well appointed property, clean and well situated to local attractions. The home was clearly recently remodeled and done beautifully. Lots of room both indoors and outdoors and the back deck is great for hanging out and enjoying the view.

  Roads are not paved, if that’s a concern, the bedroom with a twin bed could use at least a double, but an air mattress is available to use so it takes care of it. Lots of extra towels and sheets, and the complimentary coffee was very nice.

  I would recommend this property for anyone looking to stay in this area. Communication was stellar!
