This charming older house is not far from the Indiana Dunes parks and just a couple of blocks from an excellent Italian restaurant (Lucrezia) and its shop. If you wish to cook, the kitchen is well equipped. The beds are comfortable. For us, the best part of the house was the back yard, delightfully shaded by a couple of beautiful old trees and equipped with a substantial table and chairs where we ate both breakfast and dinner and hung out until dark. Because of the house's age, the stairs to the upstairs bedroom and the basement are steep so people who are unsteady on their feet might want to stay on the main floor.

From the owner: "Thanks for your review! We love the backyard as well. We are glad you enjoyed it. We are continually working to improve that whimsical space for greater enjoyment."
Our group had a cornhole tournament up in the area. Unfortunately I grew ill just days before departure and I was unable to attend, but my husband did. He was in charge of making sure the rules were followed and the cleanup was done. He said that there were no complaints from anyone about the house, definitely big enough for them. He did state he wished there was more then one shower, but that there was a tub. With 12 people it was hard for everyone to get in a shower. He mentioned it is an older home but the layout was neat. We were concerned with the parking, tried to carpool as many as we could to avoid too many cars, plus we had a trailer for the tournament as it was a tournament we ran. He said everything worked out perfectly and everyone was happy with their stay. He did say all we really did was sleep there, so the house barely looked like it was used. Thank you so much for an easy stay, and we will keep it in mind for the next one.
From The Owner: "How great! I’m glad the house suited your needs. We hope you will come to visit again soon."
Very cool older house… lots of room… close to the beach and downtown! Great host, very accommodating! Will hopefully get to stay again

Great location! Close to parks. Lots of games and activities for evenings and rainy days. Many more amenities than we expected. Bunk room is the only bedroom in the basement and there is only one bathroom shower (located in 2nd floor bath). Overall a good setup for a large group.

From the owner: "We are glad you enjoyed your stay! We love the game room too. Our 1930s house has had a few facelifts in recent years, and a full bathroom in the basement is next on our list of things to add. We hope you were able to enjoy bathing in the tubs with available salts and bath bombs in our two bathrooms. Always nice after a day at the beach."
The house and yard very spacious. They had everything you need for cooking. The ping pong table is always a must when we rent. They had a lot of games for indoors and out. Close to the beaches. One beach had handicap access which was helpful. The management team was easy to get ahold of and very quick to respond.
