Perfect for a large family

Celebrated our family Christmas with our 5 grown children and their families. The home fit us perfectly. Each family had their own large room with it's own bathroom, which is important with a large number of young grandchildren. It's difficult to tell in the listing, but we had our own separate apartment suite that was attached to the main house. It was a welcome sanctuary after a long day of togetherness. Plenty of beds and rooms to gather. The host was amazing! Extremely helpful accommodating to our requests. The view from the home is spectacular! It seems remote, but is really close to everything Bloomington has to offer. Can't say enough good things. Everyone in our group loved the home. Thank you Jessica!

First of all, I live a half mile from this lodge and needed extra guest space for holidays. The setting is beautiful, including the view of Lake Monroe! The long dining table was perfect for our family dinner and games. Everything was decorated beautifully starting with a large Christmas tree and all the extra details in other rooms. From a senior guest using a walker, to a couple with an 18 mo old active baby...everyone found a bedroom to fit their needs!

A few brave guests enjoyed the hot tub twice on 2 very cold winter nights!!! You must see and stay at this lodge to really appreciate all you get for the value. I don't know of anyplace like it around this area and we will use it again for our next family gathering!

A home away from home!

We loved it here! Not only were my kids so impressed with the place, they spent along time picking exactly which room they were going to stay in and provided some much needed disconnection time. They didn’t get on their ipads at all and we played games and cards that were provided and somehow agreed on a movie.

The place is also incredibly spacious - two complete masters and multiple other rooms allows a few families to stay comfortably.

It is honestly a great place for hosting family events and connecting to all eat and gather together, but it is still affordable if you just want to spend time with your immediate family.

overall, we had a great stay. cozy, clean, comfortable, and the view is hard to beat, especially being so close to town. The sunrise through the big windows was also 10/10

My wife and I recently had the most amazing experience at the Scenic View Lodge. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning view of the lake and rolling hills of Monroe county from our bedroom window. The scenery was simply breathtaking and we couldn't believe our luck in having such a beautiful view right from our room. At night, the starry skies were a sight to behold and we spent hours stargazing from the comfort of our bed. The hot tub was another highlight of our stay, providing us with the perfect way to relax and unwind after a day of exploring. Speaking of which, the lodge is surrounded by beautiful hiking trails which we thoroughly enjoyed. The lodge itself was spacious and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We loved it so much that we are already planning to return with some friends and their families in the future. Overall, our stay at the Scenic View Lodge was an unforgettable experience and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic getaway.

We rented the Lodge for a weekend to have a fun staycation. This place surpassed all our expectations. The main dining area has a wall of windows with an incredible view of Lake Monroe. We had family over and we were all able to comfortably sit for dinner. The kids loved the massive bedrooms & the hot tub! There was plenty of room for dance parties, building forts and crafts! The den provided a cozy ambience with the electric fireplace. We cozied up with a bottle of wine to watch our favorite show! If you’re looking for a nice getaway, the lodge is definitely your place to stay! We will stay again!
