  We enjoyed our stay so much, we extended it. Beautiful home well supplied even for the furbabies. and clean. Good location and things are easy to get to. The views off the huge deck are awesome and I feel my spirit has been renewed. We will definitely be back.

  We enjoyed everything about our stay. Clean, comfortable, thoughtfully equipped with everything. The information book is very useful. It even contains menus from several restaurants! The view is amazing!To watch the sunrises over the Illinois River made getting up early worth it!😊

• Great stay!

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is clean, comfortable, peaceful and well equipped.

  The fact that they accept pets made it easier for our siblings reunion, as one of us has a small dog.

  The location is perfect to view the Sun rising over the Illinois River every morning. Beautiful!

• Moving to Peoria

  It was a truly relaxing stay with a beautiful view along the Illinois river. Provided just what we needed after moving our son and daughter-in-law to Peoria.

• Challenging driveway

  The driveway to the home is very steep and winding, which is not noted in the description and shoukd be. The entrance/bottom of the driveway is off a very busy, tree-lined street, making it difficult to find the entrance. We were unable to slow down to find the entrance so we passed the driveway when we first arrived. A big marker would have helped. Also used soap bars, dirty kitchen sponge, and garbage in the kitchen bin were left. A small amount of food (butter and flour) was left behind. Although we were notified before our arrival about a large carpet stain in the living room, overall I felt the cleanliness of the home was not on par with other VRBO homes we have stayed in.

  Thank you for your feedback, Kathleen, we always appreciate hearing from our guests. We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced during your stay and we'd like to take a moment to clarify the following:
  
  -The driveway is indeed steep with two turns, and the entrance is in the middle of a concrete retaining wall. While there are no trees lining the highway, there are power poles on the opposite side of the four-lane highway. We have clearly marked the entrance with 6-inch numbers on the mailbox, and the speed limit is 45 mph. The homeowner sent several correspondences before your visit, including pictures of the entrance, but did not receive any communication until after your arrival.
  -While we acknowledge the presence of used soap bars, we also provide essential items such as salt, pepper, sugar, coffee, flour, and butter for our guests' convenience. A pitcher of water is also available in the refrigerator. We strive to maintain cleanliness, but it appears there was a misunderstanding regarding a small amount of trash in the kitchen bin.
  -We informed you prior to your arrival about a small stain on the carpet caused by a previous guest's daughter during a rainy Frisbee golf tournament. Due to limited time between guest stays, we cleaned it as best as we could until it could be professionally treated.
  -Reviews from previous guests have often mentioned the nature of the driveway, and we encourage future guests to read them for a better understanding.
  
  We appreciate you letting us know of your concerns as it gives us the means to improve. As is evidenced by the many great reviews, these owners are accustomed to providing five-star experiences, and we look forward to this property hosting many happy travelers.
