Nice place, beautiful area.
5/5 Had a super time. Owners were nice and helpful and were able to suggest some of the best places to go hiking. Property was great for our family (2 adults, 3 kids). The nearest full grocery store is about 15-20 minutes away, but there are some staples available in the trading post that also serves as the rental office.

Perfect place for nature lovers
5/5 Clean house. Very responsive host. Absolutely quiet place. Hikes are very close. High speed Internet if you need it. Highly recommended.

Great vacation spot near Garden of the Gods IL
5/5 We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Prairie House. The large property was clean, the scenery surrounding us beautiful and peaceful and Elizabeth is available to answer any questions, always making you feel welcome. The property was exactly as it looked online and they even provided coffee! The location is ideal for Garden of the Gods and some good hiking. We would definitely recommend this and the other properties they own to anyone visiting the area, you will not be disappointed!

The good and improvements
4/5 Enjoyed property location, quiet and watching cows (when there) relaxing. Beds and furnishings comfortable. Air conditioning kept house very cool and actually wish we could have set the temp higher. There was minor damage to a few parts of the property and furnishings and we were very slightly concerned that we might be asked to try and explain (we were not). Nice that they supplied fire wood. Brought own 13”x9” pan for a breakfast casserole, glad we did. Basic pots and pans are there. Adults and kids had a great and comfortable time.

Wonderful Stay
5/5 The hosts were wonderful during the entire process - responsive and helpful. The house was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed watching the cows so much! An added extra to a perfect stay!
