  The house was great. Check in and check out were easy. The house has great amenities which makes for a lot of fun!

  We have stayed at many VRBO properties, but this was our first disappointing experience. The house had plenty of room for the seven of us, with comfortable furniture and beds. The location was convenient and close to everything we needed.

  However, we encountered several issues that were surprising given the positive reviews:

  Safety Concerns:

  Loose front deck railing

  Open junction boxes with exposed wiring throughout the house

  Unsafe pool deck with multiple patches, holes, and rotted boards

  Loose pool deck railing

  Incomplete Renovations:

  The half bathroom on the main floor had a rug covering what seemed to be a removed tub or shower, with exposed plumbing behind a picture. Open junction boxes and poorly done piping were visible.

  Similar issues with open junction boxes were found in the main bedroom bathroom and other rooms.

  The lower-level family room had an inoperable drum set in poor condition and a damaged pole from ceiling to floor.

  Maintenance Issues:

  Front deck chairs needed repair

  Pool deck furniture needed a thorough cleaning

  Pool needed cleaning

  Tiki torches had no fluid and couldn't be used

  None of the mattresses had covers, and some were heavily stained

  Additionally, there was no guidebook for accessing the internet, using the TVs, or other features of the house. We tried to contact Butch via email twice but never received a response.

  Overall, this property has a lot of potential and could be a great rental with some professionally done repairs and updates.

  Hi David, we’re sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
  -Safety concerns are taken very seriously. There are no live exposed wires in the house. We will review and address any visible junction boxes to ensure they are properly covered.
  -The drum set in the lower-level family room has been damaged by previous guests but will be removed to avoid further concerns.
  -The pool is cleaned before each guest's arrival. Although we do our best to keep the outdoor area clean, if there are a few days between guest check-out and the next check-in, it is certainly possible for Mother Nature to have an effect on the outdoor area once our cleaning crew has left.
