Centrally located so we could walk everywhere. Lots of fun activities.

We had a great time in Lava and our room at lava Hot Springs Studio was centrally located to everything in town. We parked when we arrived and walked to all our activities. The balcony was great to hang out on with plenty of seating for our group. There was a constant bustle of activity so if you're looking for a quiet solitude experience, this is not the place, but if you like to be at the center of all the activity, this is definitely your spot!
New studio apartment- looks like 2 or 4 more being built. Beds were the nice memory foam. Big shower with dual heads. Heated floors. Woke up to 8 degrees outside but toasty warm inside (actually too warm). Short walk down to Lava Hot Springs.
Husband went through withdrawals because no real tv channels to speak of and streaming slow - no WiFi. Perfect for me!! There is a dvd if you want to bring movies. Big jenga set was fun.
There was no place to hang anything so wet towels and swimsuits ended up hanging over chairs you’d sit in.
If we would have filled the 3rd bed with another couple, we would have been much too cramped. Getting rid of the 3rd bed and putting in a table/chairs would have made it much nicer. Chairs and table outside but not so usable in winter.
Anyway, we would stay there again and will bring a folding dryer rack. Oh and don’t forget your coffee filters! Dishes, silverware, hot plate with small pan provided but that is it. Bring your paper towels, extra garbage bags etc if staying more than one night. Entrance door was a bugger to figure out as well.
Because of a great nights sleep, good shower, quiet place (opposite of the railroad tracks and off the Main Street plus built out of concrete ) and great price. I’ll give 4 stars. If we make another trip to Lava Hot Springs, we will rent it again. Everywhere else looks run down and old.
Happy soaking!
