My wife and I took a vacation to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. This place was perfect as I was searching. The patio and the view of the mountains were amazing! The hot tube was really the pull, but it turned out to be much more than I hoped for. The place was set up so well for our stay with the kitchen well stocked with supplies. They even supplied arts and crafts items for a kid-friendly stay. I was really impressed with this Airbnb. Brad and Cara were great hosts. We are so grateful for this little treasure! It was an amazing vacation and everything we had hoped it would be! Thanks again for a great stay, you guys! If you're looking for a family vacation in the mountains or a quiet getaway for you and your loved one, I highly recommend this place! The McBride House for the WIN!!
Great stay, in a clean, well appointed space. We’ve stayed in many GV VRBO’s, and this one we will book again! We were wanting a clean, place to sleep, and have coffee in the am. Most days are spent at our family’s place, or on an outing… this worked perfectly for us!

The apartment itself was clean and presentable. However, the front door isn't lockable. There is a hook and eye type of latch on it, but there's also a 1 in gap which makes it simple to slip anything in and unlock it. We didn't leave any valuables behind when we went out. My wife and I were there for Fri., Sat. and Sun. Two adults, 3 days and we got two washcloths. I texted and asked for clean ones and was told they didn't have any more washcloths to give. We had to go out and buy washcloths so we could have a clean one for each shower. The view of the mountains in the listing from the back balcony is only half of the actual view. What you really see is a huge yard full of weeds about 2-3 feet tall, piles of scrap lumber, and old junk scrap metal plies. If they are going to use their property as a business, then they need to treat it like a business and reinvest some of their profits back into it.

Hi Randy, we passed your comments on to the homeowner who would like to share the following: We do our very best to uphold high standards of hospitality for our property and provide all of our guests with an exceptional experience. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the cleanliness of our home!
- Our door is secured with a sturdy, lockable latch from the inside, and there is no noticeable 1-inch gap. In addition, there is an exterior door outside of it and guests can rest assured no other individuals or guests occupy the same building. Our property spans 4 acres in the picturesque Garden Valley, Idaho. Due to the serene and secure environment that characterizes our property, it's not uncommon to leave the doors of our family home unlocked. Personally, we've been doing this for many years.
- Guests are given a key to access the exterior door, which includes a deadbolt and leads to the patio and stairs. It's common for them to use this door for entering and exiting, while the other door remains locked from the inside.
- It's important to us that guests have the essentials for their stay and we're sorry that you felt there weren't enough washcloths. We noticed that the washcloths needed to be replaced so we provided the last two new ones. On Monday, we had purchased new sets of washcloths for guest use. We explained that there were four bath towels and two hand towels provided along with extra towels available in the closet.
- Our four-acre property in Garden Valley includes pasture land, and although the grass in some areas may grow taller due to the absence of animals, we maintain a clean and organized environment. You might occasionally find some scraps near the barn, but that's common as it's a family farm. Guests can be confident that our property provides a stunning view for them to enjoy.
We do all we can to make our home the best possible experience, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.
