We had an enjoyable stay. Have stayed in Smiths Ferry area a number of times and thoroughly enjoy the quietness it offers. This property is great for this purpose. It is by far the most expensive property we have seen in the area, but that is an individual decision we made to accommodate our schedule.
Property was comfortable, well stocked with essentials, clean and has a great view. Kelly (contact for the stay) was very responsive for any questions we had. Thank you Kelly!! The view toward the river highlights this location. Enjoyed sitting on the porch in the morning looking west over the river.
Only a couple of suggestions. Might want to consider having some shades installed on the west windows so that the late afternoon sun could be filtered. It is really bright for an hour or two and, given how the furniture is situated, makes it difficult sit in the living room this time of day. While the BBQ worked, it is old and well past its prime and could use some attention.
Overall, a great stay!

From the owner: "David, thank you for the review! I always love suggestions from guests. Great ideas shared! I am glad the cabin met your needs and love that you enjoy this area as much as our family."
We had a good stay. Beautiful area. The view of the river was mostly through the trees. It was a steep walk down to the river and a bit longer distance to get there than I expected. Overall a great stay and very nice place. Fast internet access which allowed us to work remote as needed during our stay. Verizon cellphone access was also very good. The area was beautiful.

From the owner: "Andrew, thank you for your stay with us. I am sorry for the long walk due to the size of our property. We are working on easier access and normal cleaning of trees without harming nature too much. I am so glad you enjoyed our cabin."
During my families stay we hiked, fished, and watched movies, played board games and had an outstanding time. The kitchen is fully loaded with pots and pans, silverware, bowls, and plates. We met some of the residents nearby and they were all very kind. The hiking route is breathtaking. It’s runs down some steep hills onto an old rail road track that is no longer in use and it runs all along the payette river. Following the tracks leads to an old land slide that you can easily hike around and then to a tunnel that is carved into a cliff side. It’s about a 30 minute walk round trip.
The cabin is amazing, it’s very large. Has 3 bedrooms with king beds and an extra bed outside the upstairs bedrooms.
A HUGE deck surrounds the entire house with a fire pit in back.
TV has many streaming services.
The only negative to our stay was a water heater going out, of which was handled the moment I reported it and when they couldn’t fix it that day the home next door was available for us to use to shower in and was swiftly cleaned.
I definitely recommend this cabin! It’s definitely the best home away from home we’ve been to.
From the owner: "Thank you so much for working with us to make this the best experience. We apologize for the unforeseen issue with the newer water heater being defective. This week we are installing a different water heat pump to meet anticipated needs. I am so glad you got the opportunity to explore and make great memories. We look forward to seeing you again."
We loved our stay in this lovely peaceful home! Kitchen is well stocked, beds comfortable, and the jacuzzi tub was wondefful after a day of fishing.
