Comfort of home
5/5 Marion Retreat was perfect and warm and comfortable and beautiful! All of our guests and family were very impressed by the size of the rooms and all commented on how luxurious the beds were. The entire property was very tidy and clean and inviting in every way. The bonus was the ability to put our vehicles in the garage when we experienced inclement weather during our stay. With so many people staying in the house, there was plenty of spaces, like the season room to relax and enjoy some privacy and quiet away from each other when we needed it. The amenities like wifi, camping chairs, the outdoor fire pit and patio, and all of the outdoor games and board games and Blu-ray movies provided, ensured everyone young and old alike had plenty of entertainment. The location of the house is close enough to town so as not to be a long drive to restaurants and shopping, but was far enough away from the city to give you the peace and quiet feeling of being in the country. Overall, I can't say enough good things about the Marion Retreat. I will definitely recommend it to any of my family and friends to use in the future. I myself will be booking it again when we visit our family in the future! I must also comment on the prompt, professional and friendly service that the property manager and owner gave me, when I called with a question.
Thank you for making my stay for my daughter's wedding one of the best vacations I have ever had.
4/5 Nice rural getaway! Carpets stained but everything was clean. Family friendly, went to Bass Farms for a morning. Good location to Cedar Rapids. We really enjoyed our time there!
