  This is an old historic house decorated in fun baseball motif. We had a little problem with the plumbing on arrival but it was promptly fixed to full satisfaction. The kitchen was fully stocked. The location was walking distance to breweries and Main Street.

  The listing stated occupancy of 7. Unfortunately all but two of those are child size. We were there for an adult baseball tournament and it only sleeps two non married adults in the queen and king. The 3rd room is a short child’s bed, the additional beds I assume are the plastic futon and maybe the couch? We were planning for 5 players to stay and could only sleep 2. This changed the costs of the trip dramatically from splitting 5 ways to splitting 2 ways and having 3 hotel rooms in Dubuque. It also caused timing issues having to travel back and forth to get everybody to games. The listing should state an adult capacity and a child capacity. It greatly affected our trip.

• Field of Dreams baseball tournament

  We stayed at this property 2 nights for a Field of Dreams baseball tournament. For us the positives outweighed the negatives and we had a very nice and comfortable stay. Positives:1.) Cold central A/C2.) Very comfortable couches and beds and plenty of pillows and blankets. Comfortably sleeps 5 in beds and maybe 7 if you use the couch futon3.) Cold freezer with plenty of ice cube trays to stock coolers4.) Very close proximity to fields5.). Large capacity, newer washer and dryer 6.). Lots of fresh fluffy towels of various sizes providedNegatives:1.). No exhaust fans in bathrooms and upstairs bathroom window (with shower) won’t open.2.). Shower temperature was difficult to control, you get either hot or cold3.). Tub not the cleanest and had staining from a leaking faucet. I would not want to give a little one a bath in it.Other observations: 1.). Only 1 kitchen garbage bag provided- bring extra if you think you’ll need more2.). Bring paper towels / Kleenex. And laundry detergent. None provided. And only 1 dishwasher pod was provided.Restaurants - we tried Ritz and Mixteca. Food at both were very good.Overall we liked the property and would stay at it again.

  This house was a perfect place to stay for our long weekend visiting the field of dreams movie site. We walked anywhere we needed to go for meals and entertainment in Dyersville. Great location, minus the occasional train passing.
