  The location of the house is great since it’s close to festivities that the lake has to offer. The house itself was not very clean. Upon arrival, there was a lot of dirt on the kitchen floor, I had to sweep it upon arrival before my company came as it was embarrassing.I tried to use the vacuum however, the vacuum does not suck up dirt, it’s clogged. There was an overall musty smell in the house when I entered, I turned the AC down to get the airflow to help with that. The cupboards and the counters have not been wiped off. There’s a coat of dust covering things. There was cobwebs throughout the house, especially around the fireplace. There was hair in the tubs and it did not look like the bathroom floors been swept or mopped very well. It’s a little disappointing because nowadays people can’t afford a vacation very often and to spend the kind of money you do for a couple nights stay to rent a verbo you want the house to be clean and ready for those next guest.

  We were not impressed with this property for the following reasons: The online description was misleading. The first half shows images of bedroom 1 with 1 twin and 1 queen, and bedroom 3 with 1 twin and 1 double. The description below does not match the images. The lower bunk of the bunk bed was bent, so the mattress did not lie flat. In addition, the bedding did not include a mattress pad (gross), and the pillows, although plenty of them, were all in terrible condition. The bathroom sink and shower on the lower level did not drain properly. The property had an overwhelming smell of the fireplace upon entry. We will not stay here again.

  Hi Andrea, we're sorry to hear your stay did not meet your expectations. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
  -The listing photos reflect nine designated sleeping spaces, and the bent bunk bed is currently being repaired. We regret that a mattress pad was not in place, as these are regularly laundered and should have been provided. The pillows, which are routinely replaced, will also be refreshed.
  -Regarding the fireplace, it had been used shortly before your arrival, and on occasion, strong winds can carry traces of smoke into the home. Many guests enjoy a warm fire throughout the year, but we’re sorry this affected the atmosphere during your stay.

  The house is located very near the lake and has a welcoming front outdoor space but the interior needs attention to detail to make it welcoming.
