  This wasn't the worst rental, but it certainly wasn't the best. A lot of things that just seem like a given for a rental house were nonexistent here. The point of renting a vacation home is to feel like you're IN A HOME - this didn't give those feelings. It was the absolute bare minimum. The communication with our property contact was also crap, and the directions in our email vs. what is written in the binder in the house weren't lining up.

  To start, there were 3 of us here. The listing claims it can house 6. I highly recommend NOT doing that. The third bed is an air mattress in the loft, which gets really hot. Yes, there's an AC unit in the upper bedroom but it is so loud, it's nearly impossible to sleep with it on.

  All of the small amenities seemed better fit for just 2 people staying in the condo. 4 coffee mugs & a handful of plastic cups? Only 2 washcloths set out in each bathroom, and a locked linen closet we couldn't access? At least provide amenities for a full 6, or enough for the 2, 3 or 4 people who stay here so they don't have to run the dishwasher or do laundry every day just to have clean items.

  Our shower curtain wouldn't stay up so we had to use towels to mop up the water - there was no bath mat. The curtain rod in the living room was also falling down. There is ZERO privacy in the upstairs bedroom because the double doors are all glass, no curtains. There's even a mirror situated in the living room so somebody could be in the kitchen and can see up into the bedroom through the mirror. The bathrooms (shower + toilet room) are TEENY, you have to stand in the shower to close the door.

  There's only 1 bedside table per room, and no lamps. Didn't realize how much I appreciated either of those until I didn't have one. Nothing like stubbing your toe in the dark to get to the bed after turning the lights off!

  Our property contact was unreachable upon our arrival and slow to respond thereafter. She didn't have answers or solutions to anything we came to her with. The "property manager" you get your parking pass from is someone you have to call, not find a building for. Binder instructions vs. emailed instructions were different so we walked the entire complex searching for this guy before resolving to check the binder.

  Kitchen is BARE MINIMUM. No everyday essentials like ziploc bags, foil, chip clips, spices, cooking spray, oil, etc. Be prepared to buy all those things yourself.

  Not a terrible place, just don't expect anything special.

  Just felt okay about this place. Check-in instructions were unclear and trying to figure out parking registration was challenging. The property contact was rather not personable when contacted. The place was clean but the kitchen was not well organized and like others have mentioned, it was extremely hot in the downstairs bedroom with no airflow. And it wasn't possible to close half of the window shutters to keep cooler air in. Overall, you get what you pay for but don't expect a host that goes above and beyond to ensure your comfort. Personally I am not a big fan of Evolve property management.
