Oceanfront Condo w/ Pool Access on Molokai!

  The condo was dirty and full of cockroaches which we did not know till 8:30 the night we checked in as we were outside enjoying the sunset. Much to our shock when we came inside and turned on the light, the cockroaches were everywhere scurrying about. The property manager texted back to explain that it “was normal for the tropics”. We had stayed in the tropics many times and knew this was not normal and completely unsanitary and disgusting. We found them everywhere including in the kitchen drawers with cockroach feces and it smelled. The kitchen had not been cleaned inside any drawers or cabinets where the cockroaches were living. When we first checked in we noticed the bathroom and fridge were just dirty and not cleaned for some time. The resort itself has been run down and abandoned with many buildings decrepit with caution tape and looking like it belongs in a futuristic end of the world location. Apparently the developers had stopped the project decades ago and now some of the units are being rented amongst the other dilapidated buildings and units. We left within 30 minutes upon finding the cockroaches and the company did credit us back as we did not stay. We would not recommend this place for cleanliness or being infested with cockroaches however the sunset was beautiful.

  - The home is located on Molokai, a remote tropical island where occasional sightings of insects can happen, particularly in the evenings. However, we take all reports seriously and responded quickly by treating the unit immediately after your departure.
  - We’re sorry to hear that the cleanliness fell short during your visit. We’ll be revisiting our cleaning protocols and inspecting drawers and cabinets to ensure everything is up to standard.
  - While many of our returning guests love the quiet, off-the-grid nature of the island and the unique setting of this resort, we understand it may not be the right fit for everyone.
